The company background
According to Bombast and Zmud (2009) a good information system will always cater for a
business needs appropriately leading to its growth. An information management system helps an
organization to keep its information well and make it accessible to all employees and
stakeholders of a business. Swinburne Guru Consulting has in its own way decided to manage its
information; it has kept it information well for development of the firm. This firm has collected a
great sum of information from different fields. It is making an effort to collect more information
using viable ways. The firm is using networking to come up with appropriate ways to collect the
information.
In other aspects the business information should be manageable (Burroughs et al 2015).
Swinburne Guru Consulting has put in place measures to manage its information. Managers of
the firm should be in a total control of the information, for example any changes made on any
latter and document should be authorized by the managers. Data should be backed up so that in
case any file or document should be retrieved when it is needed. The information should be
restricted so that it may be not be accessed by everybody other than all people.
Having many workers in the firms makes it a requirement for the firm to make information. The
firm should allocate and feed information in secure webs servers and phone applications. For
example, using Microsoft share point you can set a company website portal which can be
accessed by all employees to access firm’s information at all time. Website links should also be
created to assist in spreading information to all the customers of the firm.
The Swinburne Guru Consulting majorly with coaching work type of business. They coach
people from different parts of the country. It is a very demanding time of work because for the
case of Emily she and the other permanent employees are very busy as stated in the case study.
Coaching demand for much mental and physical effort leading to high levels of fatigue. If the
coaching is in the field much physical energy is consumed (Chaffey and White 2010). In a case
where it is totally indoor then mental strains are incurred since explaining and demonstrating is
highly required. Covering a large area also leads to possibilities of having many
clients/customers who must be served by the firm thus the work load being much. There is a
likelihood that the Swinburne Guru Consulting hires people in contract basis to cater for
consultancy when all the permanent workers / employees are busy in the firm’s activities. Emily

and her staff are always in a constant run to streamline their services. They want to make their
coaching service better and better every time.
As any business either large scale or small scale must have some challenges or some shortfalls.
Challenges seems to bring business down but in a way they give the business a power to
rejuvenate and become powerful. Challenges are viewed to be internal or external depending on
where they originate from and how they affect the business. They are brought about by factors
which are either internal or external to the business. The business is facing a space problem. The
working space is not ample. The staffs run their business in a small office. This shows that
lighting, air circulation, walking and storing conditions are not favorable. When such conditions
are not favorable there is likely to be adverse effect. If lighting condition is not good the staffs
are likely to strain their eyes. As a result, they will end up with eye sicknesses thus lowering their
output in the business.
If air circulation conditions are not good, there is likelihood of spreading communicable
diseases. If staffs spread diseases among themselves the firm will end up at some point lacking
staff for they maybe would have taken a break for treatment purposes. Still on challenges if the
space is small, documents are likely to be misplaced. Finding them when they are needed wastes
a lot of time to retrieve them because they are pilled to create room for much space. The Guru
Consulting firm should therefore increase their working space by either shifting to a larger office
or constructing their office to be large enough for their operations (McNurlin and Sprague 2011).
Another great challenge facing the firm is insufficient staffs. The number of staffs is very low;
this is a great challenge since it forces Emily to hire man power from outside to assist in
coaching. She hires people to come in the business and assist in setting standards for the business
to go another higher level. The staffs also lack adequate skill for the business. Their skill is low
such that their employer (Emily) has to hire specialists from Bas to analyze and calculate for the
business to move to another higher level. Any business should always have some specialists to
do such jobs as analyzing different aspects of the business. Specialists should always be within
the business to assist anytime their services are needed. The future of this business is likely to be
doomed in case it doesn’t employ its own specialists. The business must put up strategies for a
future which must be bright to the business and the customers. For the betterment of the
coaching activities of the firm, it must have enough, well skilled employees.

The business being a small scale business it will not be able to cover the whole Australia region
as per the expectation of Emily (Lindsey, and Raghavendra 2012.) Emily with her firm will have
to draw together much and large resources together so that they may be in a position to run as a
large scale business. Pulling resources together will take the firm a lot of time but it will finally
be able to cater for the needs of the customers all over the region comfortably. It will also give
the business an added advantages enjoyed by all large businesses referred to as economies of
scale.
Emily needs a fast exchange in her enterprise, shifting to a higher stage over a small span of
time. Rapid adjustments usually come with some consequences which is probably detrimental to
the operations of the business (Peffers et al 2017).
We stay in rapidly changing instances, mainly for groups. Consider that, in an unmarried
technology, companies have had to adapt to totally new advertising and marketing channels (net
and social), determine the way to put money into and utilize new technology, and compete on a
worldwide degree — matters that were slightly possible to our dad and mom’ and grandparents’
generations.
One aspect effect of these fast adjustments and increase is that no single CEO — or any worker,
for that count — can be an expert in the entirety. This was, possibly, always true, but it has by no
means been more obvious. Emily being the CEO of this enterprise she doesn’t recognize the
whole lot at the time she consequently has given herself enough time to learn and regulate
absolutely to the brand new commercial enterprise she is proceeding to make bigger as much as.
This is why, in my opinion, a number of the biggest challenges agencies face these days are
exceptional met and addressed with certified experts. Bringing on a consultant allows CEOs
upload the know-how and talents they need to address specific troubles at precise instances, and
might offer the fine possible effects (Longley et al 2015).
Yes, Emily wants to enlarge the business but there is a lot of unknown factors when it comes to
dealing with the future. This is why, in my opinion, some of the biggest challenges this business
is facing are best met and addressed with qualified consultants. Bringing on a consultant helps
CEOs add the expertise and skills they need to address particular problems at particular times,
and can provide the best possible outcomes. For this reason, Swinburne Guru Consulting has to

A remarkable task which Emily is attempting to overcome is the consumer care and the
repetition of the firm … repetition is very important to any form of an enterprise. In a world of
instant gratification, clients assume on the spot customer support — and might take to the net to
proportion their displeasure at less than exceptional carrier just as fast. Consultants can locate
methods to enhance customer service and convey it into the 21st century. A factor which need to
be fascinated about terrific weight (Bombast, Goldstein and Mead 2017). In a similar vein,
because clients can voice any displeasure so much extra publicly and loudly than ever earlier
than, agencies ought to reveal and preserve them on line reputations. And whilst it’s an essential
mission, it’s one first-rate perfect to a 3rd celebration who can monitor and mediate with a

As the firm always does, it can continue hiring manpower mostly from Bas to assist in analyzing
the growth and the position of the business. Technology is another great challenge facing all
small scale businesses. This being one of the small scale it is no exceptional as technologies
change practically at the speed of light, it’s vital for companies to innovate or be left behind —
but many CEOs started their careers and businesses before many of these technologies even
existed! Consultants can be vital for integrating new technologies, in particular mobile, app
development, and cloud computing.
Finances will ever be a challenge to all expanding businesses The financial risks depend on the
financial structure of your business. It is also dependent on your business transactions and the
financial systems. For example, changes in interest rates or being overly reliant on one customer
could affect business. . For Emily and her business to comfortably sustain customers, to
comfortably coach the customer her business bust be financially stable. In such a case a case the
firm will have to get some loans if its own finances will not be adequate.
Referring to Check land and Howell (2018) customers a key thing in the boom of Emily
enterprise and her company, even before the virtual economic system, Grande nailed the
importance of attracting and keeping clients, “A patron is the most critical traveler on our
