SWOT ANALYSIS TEMPLATE
Strengths
What learning qualities do I have?
What experience do I bring to Griffith
College?
How have I been successful in the past?
I am able to grasp concepts fairly quickly.
It does not take a long time for me to
understand what it is that the teacher is
instructing us on, in the classroom. This
ability of mine applies for all the subjects
that I study at Griffith College. I also take
an active interest in the subjects that are
being taught, and I am open to learning
all types of concepts and perspectives
that pertain to the subjects I am pursuing
for my higher education at Griffith. The
experience that I bring to Griffith College
is one of innovative and creative learning.
I have been successful in the past
because of my ability to think outside the
box and I wish to do the same during my
time at Griffith College.

Threats
What are some of the distractions to my
learning?
What obstacles / challenges may prevent
me learning?
I get distracted very easily when people
talk loudly. This is a problem because it is
not always possible for fellow students to
remain silent or quiet around me when
they are conversing with their peers in
the class.
Finance is an obstacle that could prevent
me from learning. Griffith College is an
expensive institute and funding my
education here entails a substantive
exhaustion of my resources.

Opportunities
What support is available to help my
learning?
What are some of the positive outcomes
to passing?
How else can I get involved at Griffith
College?
The professors at Griffith College are very
forthcoming in their approach to
teaching and learning. They are willing to
help students outside of class hours and
this in my view is the greatest form of
support for my learning here at Griffith.
Some of the positive outcomes to passing
include landing a job and being in a
position to earn an income for myself.
I can get more involved at Griffith College
by taking up extra-curricular activities
such as dancing and theatre

Weaknesses
What has stopped me succeeding in the
past?
What things can I improve in?
How do I usually avoid learning?
What has stopped me from succeeding in
the past is my innate sense of laziness. I
tend to procrastinate a lot in my study,
and have a terrible tendency of studying
for and completing assignments at the
end hour, when very close to the
deadline.
Some of the areas that I can improve in
include studying by paying more
attention to detail and completing my
assignments well ahead of time instead
of leaving things to be done at the last
minute.
I am not averse to learning, but in the
event that I am feeling lazy I tend to sleep
off in class or avoid attending class in the
first place.
