INTRODUCTION
The SWOT analysis refers to Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and threats. This
analysis has four techniques that are evaluated in this approach (Abdel-Basset, Mohamed and
Smarandache, 2018). This tool is used to identify an individual positive and negative points they
have which will affect its own career. Report will evaluate SWOT analysis of myself and also
provide related reflection for the same. This will assist to develop a better career development
plan. The action are also determined in this to overcome from weakness and threats.
DISCUSSION
SWOT analysis
Basically the SWOT stands for Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and threats which an
individual have in its career journey. The basic reason for determining this analysis is to develop
the best version of myself (Pesce and et. al., 2018). To get better career position the individual
should evaluate its strength that will help to achieve the desired goal more effectively. The
opportunities are to be identified before entering any field. There are various weakness and
threats that any individual have that may affect its career growth in the particular field. For my
career growth I have to evaluate the positive as negative aspects of myself and SWOT analysis
will help me find all of those points. In this analysis are two different factors intrinsic and
extrinsic, internal includes strength and weakness that will affect the objective which I have
made. External factor involve that elements of improvement of skills and knowledge in the
market.
Strength: As I have to become a head of Human resource management, so I have good
knowledge regarding the subject of human resource. The activities which are performed by HR
people are also well-known by me (Navarro-Martínez And et. al., 2020). I can effectively
manage my work in limited time frame so that their will be no delay and time is also used in
effective manner. My communication skills are more effective as I can provide information to
group of people as well as to individual person. I have done MBA from foreign university that
will provide me modern and more effective knowledge about my study. I can perform the work
more efficiently than any other. I used to evaluate my task and duties when I was in my
university and also complete my assignments and projects in the given time period. I have build

my communication skill so good from my experiences as when there is any kind of debate and
speech competition organized in the university I have scored will in that.
Weakness: As I have different skills and knowledge which are assist to perform better in my
work yet there are different measure where I am lack behind that is are my team-working skill.
Usually I am not able to perform better when I am working in a team as when different type of
people work together for a common goal then work may be not done in effective manner. I am
less effective to manage the conflict situation and the cause of the problem is also not being
identified by me. I can not able to inspire the group of people as it is required for my profession
of human resource (Hamidi and et. al., 2018). When there is any kind of pressure arise than I
become difficult for me to survive in that situation. Usually I avoid this kind of phase where
pressure is high and situation is very complicated. I have a good skills and knowledge of human
resource but the information technology skill is being lacking behind. I also find that my written
communication is comparatively not efficient as my oral communication skill. I can evaluate my
work but less prefer the group work as it is required in the human resource management.
Opportunities: As my skills as well as my knowledge in the field of human resource
management is vast, so I can use those skills to get practical experience for the duty. There are
different post that can be achievable by myself like HR generalist, HR recruiter and HR
specialist. I can use my communication skill to know more about the organization where I will
work and perform my activities related human resource department. I can perform more
effectively than other people in the same industry and get better opportunity from them (Das,
2019). I can also grab maximum information technology skills as they are mainly used in the
current market. As there are different career opportunities in the market so when I will have
more knowledge and skills than it is better for me to select the most appropriate career for me.
The human resource department is good option for me as my knowledge and skill are going to
explore in this field. For exploring more knowledge I can also learn the digital marketing this
will assist me to know about the market.
Thereat: As there are huge competition in the current market because every individual want to
become best in its individual career, so it becomes a threat for me that there are lots of people
who are contributing their efforts in the same field. People are now competing in the market and

want to become more efficient than any other. The knowledge and technology is also developing
very quick so it becomes more difficult to become updated (Longhurst And et. al., 2020)). The
workplace culture is also affected the ability of performing the task that are carried to become
human resource manager. As my weakness also can become threat for me team-working skill is
less effective and my profession field require better coordination between the members of the
team so it will affect career as employer may select some other individual for the position that
will be the biggest threat for me as this will influencing to reduce the chances of selection.
Reflection: From the above SWOT analysis it has been identified that my career is to become
head in the human resource team, so I have identified that my communication skill will assist to
inter react with the people and also help to express my views and through. As when I will reach
to my career than I can manage my work on time with maximum efficiency. As it become
necessary to determine the activities of human resources management as perform the task
accordingly so that all the resources get optimally utilized. My strength will assist me to grab
higher level of opportunity and promote me to perform the activities more efficiently. My
weakness are to be less effective in performing the activities in the group this can further lead to
act as threat for my company. Conflicts handling is also affected my career growth as there are
different situations where conflicts happen in the organization so it is important to have
knowledge to handle all kind of situation. I can improve my team-working skill by performing
activities in group as when I will continuously work in group then I will find the method to make
effective decision. I will further overcome weakness and try to make them as my strength that
will lead to better working and assist to get the goal quickly.
PDP (personal development plan)
The personal developing plan include process of creating an action plan that are based on values,
reflection, awareness for personal development with the career or for self- improvement. There
are three personal development aspects to grow the career (Srinivas and Rajendran, 2019. Firstly
the awareness about the weaker skill is being identified than knowledge is being find out and
own identity is being make.

This report concludes that the SWOT analysis will help to determine the strength and
weakness of myself. I have identified that my communication is very efficient and is lacking
behind in the team-working as when I will work on my weaker points than I can improve them
