1. Introduction
1.1 Background of the project
The paper mainly reflects on opening of a café in Sydney. It is identified that the café
was opened near to a college in Sydney such that the college students can be able to spend their
free time in the café and can enjoy coffee with snacks at a very much reasonable price. This is
mainly because the cafés which are present in that location is quite expensive and the college
students are unable to afford those coffee shops with their pocket money. The new coffee shop
not only serves coffee at reasonable price but also provides excellent environment that attracts
students.
1.2 Project scope
The scope of the project is mainly categorized into in scope and out scope:

 Opening of a café in Sydney near to a college
 Creating the business plan for the café shop
 Exploring the near by location for undertaking market analysis
 Determining the vendors who can be able to supply snacks
 Determining point to point sales system
 Giving proper facility of training to the project team members

2. Objectives of the project and its alignment with organizational objectives
and goals
The main objective of the project is to open a café in Sydney for providing the facility of
coffee and snacks to the college students at a very much reasonable price.
It is found that the objective of the project is aligned with the organizational goals and
objectives as the café has also the aim of flourishing their business by attracting new people to
their shop and that they want to do by serving different types of coffee as well as snacks at an
affordable price within excellent ambience.

The stakeholders who are involved with the café opening project can be showcased with

4. Organizational structure of the project
An organizational structure is one of the systems that is helpful in properly outlining
different types of activities which are directed for achieving the organizational objectives of the
project. The organizational structure of the café is provided below and it is found that the
structure is also helpful in reporting requirements of the project.

The legislative actions which are mainly needed to be considered while opening a café in
healthcare are mainly listed below:
Taxation: It is found that in order to pay GST, one need to register the shop with the
Australian Taxation office. Paying GST means that the shop is reporting obligations including
the submissions of BAS statements.
Insurance: The café must have proper insurance named Public liability insurance. It is
found that these types of insurance help in covering for third party-based liabilities that arises in
the premises.
License: Food and safety license must be permitted before opening of the café that is
mainly required for safeguarding public health and generally assists in ensuring the food quality.
