1. Introduction
The Sydney citizens are likely to get a new light rail experience provided by HASELL
and NSW for Transport. The organisations are likely to arrange the light rail transport that is
going to facilitate the Sydney local dwellers [1]. The architecture for the light rail has been
configured to incorporate Central Business District (CBD) as well as South East Rail Project
(CSELR). The proposed light rail is going to extend about 12 kilometres ranging from
Circular Quay to Central and it is going to connect Kingsford as well as Randwick. The
approach from the organisation will be fruitful and will likely to change the future of light rail
in coming future.

design

2.2. Conceptual Design with relevance to CSELR
2.2.1. Sydney’s entire urban design and the plans that have been planned to implement
i. HASSELL and Transport for NSW must consider the surrounding landscape before
implementing the project.
ii. The organisation involved in building the project must think of the customer's satisfaction
that is they must consider Sydney citizens' comforts and luxuries and that is why they must
on building proper shelter and along with that proper resting places at bus stops [4].
iii. The organisations have planned for assuring the safety and security of the passengers.
According to their plan model, it has been planned to build light rail doors for enhancing
security, the safe crossings have been proposed to build for cyclists, motorists and
pedestrians.
2.2.2. Kingsford Zone and rules and regulations associated
i. The plan has been made to enhance the wildlife surroundings by sowing herbs and trees on
Alison Road and its nearby light rail passageway, High Street and Anzac Parade [5].

citizens of Sydney, it has also been planned to provide superior quality materials to meet the

iii. The Traditional items: The heritage items of the CSLER are capable of attracting
customers and they can be found in the surroundings of Kingsford. GML Heritage has
identified those attractive traditional items [6]. These local heritage items can be found at the
location of Doncaster Hotel, Masonic Hotel and Tay Reserve.
iv. The outskirts of CSELR project region: There is a vegetation area located on the
outskirts of the aforesaid CSELR project boundary and that is sure to add more beauty to the
local surroundings of the light rail track area [7]. Also, there is a plan to sow trees at the
outskirts and that it will enhance the beauty of the whole Sydney city.
3. Public Domain Strategy pertaining to the conceptual design
3.1. Randwick Route and Anzac Parade’s conceptual design
Randwick Route and Anzac Parade’s design consists of the signalling for enhancing
the pedestrian crossing. The plantation of a new tree, Ficus rubiginosa has been proposed to
design as the landscape around Randwick Route and Anzac Parade that will accompany the
beauty of light rail. The proposed plan will contain the design of light rail corridor and
plantation of trees called robusta trees [8]. A footpath has also been proposed to build to
facilitate the Sydney dwellers. Heritage Walter Renny fountain has also been proposed to
take care of.

3.2. Tay Reserve’s conceptual design
Tay Reserve is being selected for the light rail project as well. It is basically located in
between Alison Road and Anzac Parade. Their plan is to modify the footpath that is
connecting both Anzac parade and Alison Road; a bus shelter has been proposed to build. A
wall is also planned to build [9]. The further modification has been planned for a lawn to be
built, if the lawn gets damaged by some means, RCC will consider it and take the full
responsibility to repair it.

3.3. Carlton Street Stop’s conceptual design
It is necessary to utilise the platform from the north and the platform has been planned
to build to wipe out the existing driveways. For the pedestrians’ protection, the islands for
sowing trees have been proposed to add the outline of the shop. The sowing of Platanus
acerifolia trees has been planned to sow around the landscape [10]. The dwellers are starting
to build new apartments and buildings at Ascot Streets and Goodwood, for this reason,
HASSEL must think from the core to make any new alternations.

3.4. Todman Avenue Stop’s conceptual design
The Public Domain design plays a significant role in enhancing the quality of the
aforesaid Todman Avenue Stop. The HASSELL has also planned to implied fences to assure
the pedestrian security [11]. Also, the spaces have been created and almost ten bikes can be
allocated, this has been made to make Anzac Parade traffic congestion free. The plan has also
been made to enhance the pedestrian crossings with latest pram ramps.

3.5. UNSW Kensington Campus’s conceptual design
In this region, the footpath has been planned to make wider. The existing crossings
have been planned to modify in such a way so the rail tracks can be managed properly. Along
with that, it has also been proposed to sow 200L trees to cater underground service, to assess
the soil quality and to enhance RCC Master Plan [12]. Verges have been also proposed to be
applied so that the pedestrians can get walk with ease on the footpath and there can be a wide
separation between road and footpath.

3.6. Anzac Parade Stop’s conceptual design
According to UNSW, the stop access has been planned to comprehend the pedestrian
crossings. The public domain design’s here primary objective is to cater pedestrian security
and to implement islands [13]. According to the plan, it has also been mentioned to cater
direct entry to the University Mall pedestrian path and that is from UNSW Anzac Parade
stop.
