BED AND BREAKFAST
RESORT
Student’s Name
SYDNEY CITY
Sydney is one of the most amazing cities
in Australia, which offers tourists an
interesting natural beauty. The booming
influx of tourist from Asia-pacific
regions for instance China, and beyond
makes Sydney a suitable location for
starting a bed and breakfast resort.
Furthermore, it has a wide range of
natural attractions in the city and its
surroundings that favor all types of
travelers and the locals. Sydney has been
a tourist attraction for many years
because it has unique natural scenes,
Such as the beaches, the cliffs, Blue
Mountains, and Port Stephens. The laws
and regulations in Australia accept
innovators to develop the city by
building resorts to cater for the (Dredge
& Jamal, 2013) tourists while creating
employment opportunities for the locals.
TARGET MARKET
Sydney is an area where the locals and
foreigners flock. This provides the best
market for a bed and breakfast hotel.
The locals visit the city for honeymoons
or educational trips while the tourist’s
attractions appeal to foreigners. A large
population of Sydney resides somewhere
else as such there is a niche for the
provision of bed and perhaps breakfast
for this population. Additionally, most
people in Sydney are there to have fun;
therefore, they oppose staying in the
hotel for 24 hours thus a bed and
breakfast resort will meet the need of
most of the consumers. On the other
hand, I will target both the rich and the
middle-class people. As such, I will
carry out an advertisement for the cost
of services offered in my hotel to gain
market attention.
Course:
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability of the resort is significant to
realize a maximum profit in the long term.
Sustainability is achievable by continually
reviewing the legal documentation, to avoid
the shutdown of the business due to
providing illegal services or failure to pay
taxes. Conserving the environment is a vital
aspect when you want to sustain the
business. I will abide by the law and
improve the life of the people in the
surrounding area, by avoiding
environmental pollution such as air
pollution and maintaining proper sewage
disposal (Ma & Hassink, 2013).
Furthermore, I will employ qualified
security persons to assure the customers are
safe and deal with a terrorist with an idea of
ruining the organization. I will also merge
with investors in Australia to provide a
good public profile and increase customer
loyalty, competitive advantage, and awards
recognition. Lastly, I will ensure my
organization with the best insurance
company to minimize the losses in case of
natural disasters.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Sydney is my suitable
location because its has natural beaches and
surrounded by other tourist attractions. A
person with an idea of developing the
Australia is warmly welcomed.
Additionally, Sydney is highly populated
and has many tourist attractions and its
located in the CBD thus the bed and
breakfast resort is appropriate in the
location.

DEVELOPMENT
The development of the resort is
challenging. As such, I will employ
Dransfield a company, which over the
last decade have being involved in the
development of resorts in Australia. I
selected this company due to its
achievements such as developing the
eastpoint mackay with 250 rooms.
Furthermore, my resort will have a
capacity of 150 rooms that will cater to
the rich and middle-class folks. The
site will have two segments, lower and
upper, having a similar number of
rooms. This is to allow giving better
and affordable services for each class.
Additionally, I will employ
architectures to study the natural
environment and develop the resort
bearing in mind the occurrence of
natural disasters. Again, in this step, I
will offer job opportunities to the
community for the successful
construction of the resort
ANALYSIS
The booming domestic trade that is
the core tax stream for advanced
resorts has encouraged the
development of the resort business.
Although there have been an
increase demand for resorts,
competition is stiff from other
forms of lodging such as service
housing which limits the resort
revenue growth.
SERVICES
Hotels in Sydney city offer swimming
pool services (Gibson & Connell,
2016). As such, my resort will have a
decent swimming pool to gain a
competitive advantage in the industry.
Other facilities in the resort will
include a shop, whereby the customers
can buy or rent items such as credit
cards, drinks, alcohol, floaters,
cameras, and bank services. Besides, I
will provide a transport service
whereby the customer will be able to
request a driver to guide them or hire a
car to travel to other natural beauty to
maximize their time. Most of the
resorts in Sydney lack this service, and
as such, I will have an advantage in the
market. Finally, I will have four
departments in the resort, the transport,
accommodation, catering, and
recreation sections. Incorporating them
in the advertisements of the services
offered in the hotel.
