PART A: QUESTIONS
1. Influence of strategic planning
Strategic planning is being regarded as the process of preparing the long term plans for
the organization. In the strategic planning, the manager of the firm will tend to make decision
about the goals which firm will attain in a specific period of time. Thus, it can be said that
strategic planning influences day to day operation of company by means of taking day to day
business decision that is associated with financial and human resources. Further, the respective
thing will also assist in the task of changing dynamic business environment of company. It also
develops good communication between different members of company. It is through this way
only strategic plans affect the day to day operation of the firm (Patel and et.al., 2018).
The main role of the system analyst is to solve the business problem by implementing
different IT techniques. However, by getting an idea about the company’s strategic plan, system
analyst can get the idea about the technique which can be used by company in the process of
attaining the framed strategic plan in an effectual manner. It is the reason why the system analyst
will need to know about the firm’s strategic plan.
2. Forms of feasibility
The four types of feasibility are given below:
Operational feasibility: This identifies an important problem in the project and makes
effort to resolve the same.
Economic feasibility: It helps in assessing the financial aspect that is related to the
project.
Technical feasibility: It assesses the hardware and software that are related to the system.
Schedule feasibility: It measures the available time that is needed to complete the project
in an effectual way.
Economic feasibility is the type of feasibility that basically focuses on the total cost of
ownership. However, operational feasibility is being regarded as the type of feasibility which is
influenced by users.
3. Steps of the preliminary investigation
Six steps of typical preliminary investigation are given below:

Understanding the problem and opportunity: In the given step, the manager will assess
the problems that are related to the information system. Hence, on the basis of the
assessed problem only it will identify the opportunity for the improvement in the same.
Defining the project scope as well as constraints: After getting an idea about the
problem in this step, the analyst will assess the scope as well as constraints that are
related to the problem.
Performing the findings of the fact: Here, different facts are to be collected as per the
assessed problem. It includes information like analyzing organizational chart and
performing user survey etc (Masum and et.al., 2018).
Studying the cost, benefit, and usability of data: In this phase, benefits and limitations
that are related to the problem will be identified.
Evaluating the feasibility: The solution is evaluated in terms of economic, technical,
operation and schedule feasibility.
Presenting recommendation to the management: Finally, suggestions are recommended
to the management in the task of resolving the problem of the company.
4. Explaining Fishbone diagram
Fishbone diagram is being regarded as the cause analysis tool that will assess the cause
that is being related to the specific problem. I would use the given model because it is with the
help of the respective technique only I can be able to get an idea about the possible cause behind
the occurrence of the specific problem. This information will help in getting idea about the
solution to the problem in an effectual manner. During school time, I had realized that none of
our teachers would stay at school for more than 1 year. Thus, I have examined that staff retention
was the main problem in my school. The causes of the problem can be identified with the help of
fishbone diagram. On the basis of the same following fishbone diagram is created.

5. Scope of the project
Project scope is the activity of assessing specific project cost, deliverables, deadlines, and
tasks. However, constraints consist of factors that create a bottleneck in smooth going work. The
example of mandatory, external and future constraint may be the government tax system which
will have effect on the operation of company. However, an example of discretionary, internal
and present constraint will be lack of skill among workers in relation to the process of operating
a specific machine (Aldholay and et.al., 2018).
PART B: CASE STUDY
1. Questions to ask
Following are the questions which will assist Way Out Bikes in the task of conducting SWOT
analysis:
What matter you most customer or money?
Does maintain the satisfaction of customers is your main motive?
Do you think that high price of your product could create a problem in future?
Would you opt for the product diversification technique? If yes then what it will be?
2. Mission statement
The mission statement will help in setting the direction of the company. Further, it is
through this way only a firm is able to make a decision about the things which it wants to
accomplish during specific period of time.
3. Critical success factor
For the Way Out Bikes, critical success factor lies in customer satisfaction. Here, it aims
to provide high-quality products to its respective buyers. Thus, the given thing will help in
maintaining satisfaction of customers. This will also assist in the task of attracting large number
of customers towards firm in an effectual way (Ahmadi and et.al., 2018).
4. Questions to be asked
What kind of information system do you need?
Is there is any specific problem which you want to resolve with the help of an
information system?
What is your company’s budget for installing information system?
