Report
AI Summary
This report provides a detailed analysis of system analysis and design. It begins by exploring information gathering techniques, specifically interviews and questionnaires, outlining their advantages and disadvantages. The report then delves into the use of diagrams, including use case diagrams, class diagrams, activity diagrams, and system sequence diagrams, explaining their content and underlying assumptions. The diagrams illustrate the interaction between customers, systems, and staff within the system. The report also includes a bibliography of relevant sources. This assignment demonstrates an understanding of system design principles and the ability to apply them in a practical context, providing a solid foundation for understanding system development processes.

SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Task 1
Information Gathering techniques
Information Gathering is a very key part of the feasibility analysis process. Two of the
most efficient information gathering techniques are:
Interview: Interview is a oldest and most often information gathering technique that helps to
collect information from individuals. It is a face to face interpersonal role situation in which the
interviewer ask a person being interviewed questions designed to gather information about a
problem area. In thus method the interviewer should read the background material carefully
before they decide on the structure of the interview. They should also write the review of the
interview as soon as possible.
Questionnaires: It is one of the very efficient technique of gathering information and feedback
for a system. Questionnaires is a process of collecting information from large number of persons.
It is a self-administered tools. Questionnaires are frequently used in quantitative marketing
research and social research. These method can be used efficiently along with the interviews.
The designer of the questionnaire should be able to provide the individual with an ample scope to
provide the answers of the questions. This would provide better results.
Advantage and Disadvantage of Interviews
The advantage of the interviews is that it provides an easy way to communicate so that
the mistakes can clarified efficiently. It also helps in building up a relationship in between the
interviewer and the interviewee. The process also helps in obtaining sufficient data for the
required process. It also helps in the collection of primary data for the research process. The
process is also the cheapest form of information gathering process.

Along with the advantages the method also has some disadvantages such as the method is
an incomplete process. There are no record of the process unless the interviewer records the data
in some sort of media or hardware devices. It is very time consuming and the data recording
process might also be affected by the biasness of the interviwer.
Advantage and Disadvantage of Questionnaire
The main advantage of the questionnaire method is that the method can be used to reach
out to a large number of candidates and also the method is very easy for obtaining quantifiable
answers to the topic of research. Additionally the answers are very easy for the analysis methods.
Additionally, it has also been noted that, it is not the best method to gather the
information required for the problems. Additionally, it is very difficult for the designer to design
an efficient questionnaire so that the sequence is maintained.

SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Explanation and assumptions
The actors of the use case are assumed to be the customer, system and the staffs. The
primary actor for the use case is assumed to be the customers and the staffs. The system is
assumed to be the secondary actor for the use cases.
Task 3
Class Diagram content
Explanation and assumptions
The main classes identified for the system are Product, Staff, Customer, Receipt and
Payment. The following sub classes are implemented for the system: The PayPal, VisaCard,
MasterCard are the classes under the Payment Class.

SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Explanation and assumptions
For the activity diagram only the customer as the primary actor is selected and the main
process flow of the customers are selected for the activity diagram. Hence the processes from the
log in to the payment is displayed in the diagram.

Explanation and assumptions
The process of the customers Inter action with the system is provided in this diagram.
The add to cart procedure forms a self-message on the customer object. The process ends with
the payment process by the customer.
