1. Introduction
The report is reflected on warehouse management system of Auto-Parts of Australia.
The current system of auto-parts business is not working to move as well as store
inventory at peak efficiency. Therefore, Daniel who is running the auto-parts business is
decided to develop the proposed system in their business so that its functionality is being
applied through core warehouse processes.
This report discusses on various aspects of the cloud based solution of auto-parts
business with its strengths as well as weaknesses of the cloud based solutions. Agile
methodologies such as Unified process plus Scrum are developed so that the system is
implemented successfully with its various functions.
2. Different aspects of the cloud based solutions
The cloud based solutions provides auto-parts business with on-demand services as
well as computer networks, applications plus resources accessed via using the internet.
Following are numerous features of the cloud based solutions to develop warehouse
management system are:
On-demand self-service: The user can verify the uptime of cloud server, its abilities
as well as storage of network. The user can able to monitor computing abilities.
Easier maintenance: The cloud servers are maintained as well as there is lower
interruption. The cloud computing originates with updating each period by creating it
efficiently. The updates are friendly with the strategies as well as achieved faster (Bagheri
& Shaltooki, 2015).
Security: Security of the cloud is one of the main aspect of the cloud computing. It
generates picture of information stored as when the services are getting damaged.

a. Strengths and weaknesses of the cloud based solutions
The strengths of the cloud based solutions are:
Cost efficient: The proposed solutions are obtainable at cheaper rate while it cab
lower IT expenses of auto-parts business at the time of developing warehouse management
system.
Unlimited storage: Storage of the information in the cloud is unlimited capability of
storage data (Gray & Rumpe, 2016). There is possibility of increasing the data storage.
Backup and recovery: The data is being stored in cloud, it is back up as well as
restored easier as compared to store same on physical devices.
The weaknesses of the cloud based solutions are:
Technical issues: Rao and Selvamani (2015) stated that as the data as well as
information are being accessed anytime as well as anywhere, but the cloud based solutions
have some technical issues. If there is lower standard of maintenance and bad internet
connections, then the user can struck in bad network as well as connectivity issues.
Prone to attack: Storage of information makes the auto-parts business vulnerable to
the external hacking attacks as well as threats.
b. Environment in which solution is deployed for proposed system
In auto-parts business, there is deployment of cloud based solutions in the production
environment. It included operations to prepare the proposed warehouse management system
as well as transfer the system on which it is running the production of auto-parts. In the
production environment, the system will perform receiving of the orders, controlling the
inventory, processing and pick up of orders. There are also functions such as outbound
documentation, alerts of system, packing of orders as well as documentation reports.

3. Agile methodologies
a. Compare and contrast Unified Process (UP) and Scrum
Both of the methods are considered as agile, means the system requirements as well
as solutions are evolved with results of team collaboration. Both of them are cross functional
as well as collaboration to promote self-management (Senapathi & Drury-Grogan. 2017). It is
based on quality of products. The comparison of both of the methodologies are that the scope
of UP is predefined and documented into the scope statement document while Scrum has no
scope, it has backlog evaluated at end of each iteration cycle (Matharu et al., 2015). In UP,
there is formal functional requirement package while in SCRUM, it has formal artefact which
is termed as operational software.
b. Recommendation of agile methodology used for proposed system
For expansion of proposed system, SCRUM methodology is used which is
recommended for the business organization. Scrum is a software development framework
used to manage entire process. It is developed through sprints when the software
development (Sandberg & Crnkovic, 2017). It is lasted for 1 month to complete from
backlog.
4. Conclusion
It is concluded that the cloud based solutions is used in development of various
services through internet included storage of data, servers as well as database and
networking. The computing servers, applications as well as elements are related to data
centres available to IT as well as end users. Agile is a way to create as well as respond to
the changes in the business by developing the warehouse management system.
