Justification for the cost
A system consists of all the process involved in manipulating data to give desirable output. Thus,
a system can be defined by the proper functionality of three phases; input, processing and output.
A website is largely determined by its design. Thus it is important to seek the services of a
consultancy firm website design to ensure that you get a design that meets customer needs and
preferences. As the person in charge of the website design, I have the following justification for
cost of this project.
My company will be charging you a daily rate of £650/day. Although this looks expensive,
I can assure you that it is worth the project. I have helped many businesses to develop
and design their websites. From the feedback I have gotten, I have established that it is
undisputable that there is a project that is worth the cost; this is one of them. Secondly,
based on the different website building software and tools available, I have a clear
understanding of the elements that will enable the website be more efficient, effective
and profitable. This will save you from hidden technical and financial costs which result
from poorly developed websites.
Analysis and evaluation of the internet site
The usability of a project is measured by its ability to make things enjoyable and easy for clients
and staff. A website usability specification provides testable requirements for verification of its
operating functions. Just like any other User-Centered Design (UCD) systems, the focus in
website designs the users (Aykin, 2016, p. 38).

Usability goals
Search engine: The website should be coded with perfect search engine
optimization.
Full contact details: It should give information on how to reach the company.
A link for placing orders online:
Navigation: It should have a navigation bar containing links to home page,
product list and contact list.
Home page: Provide a summary of company products.
Visual design: It should be formatted in fonts and colors that make it attractive.
Graphics, attractiveness
Accessibility: It should comply with World Wide Web Consortium Web
Accessibility Initiative.
Valid code: It should be in line with World Wide Web Consortium
Site Map: It should show the structure of the site and links available on it.
To establish user experience of the website, I conducted a survey on 5 people who used
the website and they addressed the following:
The website is good but missing some usability elements that can make it better. First
and foremost example, it lacks a well designed logo giving identity to the internet site
at a glance. Secondly, the statement of purpose is too long. It can be shortened for
easier understanding. Thirdly, it lacks a search input box that enables users to conduct a
quick search for an item on the site. Consequently, most users complained of being
frustrated with the process of looking throughout the website to identify what they

want. Lastly, it has a poor visual design and graphics. There are no images to break the
monotony of words hence it looks dull compared to other websites they have visited.
Critical evaluation of the site
I have evaluated the website based on design clarity, color schemes, navigation. All of
them are key human factors which should be addressed n the development and
designing of a website (Rover, 2014, p. 25). I will explain the need of each and whether,
or not, they have been addressed in www.best-electronics-ca.com.
The design of a website should be clean and appealing. This way, it becomes attractive
and easy to navigate (Mohorovicic, 2013, p. 1208). It should help users focus on the
content of the brand (Michael, 2013, p. 65). From a professional point of view, this factor
has not been addressed in the company’s website. The content has not been properly
organized to flow or make it easier for users to navigate through it.
Similarly, colors have the power of evoking emotions or bringing frustrations to users
of a website. I feel that Atari has not considered their target audience, elements of color
theory and branding in the website color scheme. This factor has greatly interfered with
navigation of the site (Kaul, 2015, p. 8). As a result of mis-match between color scheme
and the logo, it becomes hard to enjoy the experience of navigation. Also, navigation
has been not been adequately addressed n the site. This may be because of availability
of underperforming pages and lack of a site map.
Lastly, in terms of the general principles of design interface, the website has managed to create
awareness about s products and brand information. Also, information on the site is easily

retrievable (Haddon, 2016, p. 7). However, I have noticed lack of a provision for error
prevention, match between the system and real world, and visibility of system status.
Modifying the design to improve usability of the interface
I plan to modify the website through ensuring clarity in design, easier navigation process and
matching the system with real world vision. One way to do this is creating a home page with
appealing features like name of the site, text search field, voice search icon, introduction text
and menu bar. To make it easier to understand I will use a storyboard to illustrate this:
