Background
The report contains the details of the WestAust Corporation Ltd. who is looking to implement an
Operations Management System. The system would be able to support the operations in the business of
the organization. The organization works in the parcel system. They also provide services in the other
sectors as well. The five sub-systems of the Operations Management System (OMS) for WestAust
Corporation Ltd that have been identified in this report are the Parcel Service, Home care co-ordination,
employment services and contractor services in mining and contractor services in manufacturing. The
report includes the illustrations and the description of all the systems of the organization.

Organisation Vision Statement
The main vision of the organization WestAust Ltd is to provide a service that will deliver the
required documents or specialized equipment. The organization provides a merchandise delivery option.
Apart from this the organization aims at providing a home care coordination and contractor services in
the area of manufacturing and mining. The motive is to provide a similar service as the Australian Post
rather than replacing it. The services provided by the organization will be fast with quality delivery. The
organization aims at delivering the documents and parcel quickly and also includes mailing. Online
helps and online transactions are also included by the organization. At present the organization operates
in Western Australia only and in future they aim at developing their agency and depots at other parts of
the Australia.
Organisation Mission Statement
The mission of WestAust Ltd is to provide postal services to their customer. The organization
aims at providing online services to their customers which would provide them with the postal services

24x7. The organization wants to develop a sophisticated tracking component but aims at developing the
new system with proper features in future. Apart from these there are several other facilities offered by
the organization, this includes providing delivery to alternate address on demand, managing the transit,
missed deliveries can be collected later also, proper dealing with the missed out item and holding the
items until proper delivery is made. Receiving services are also offered by the organization this includes
managing the delivery time, calculating the changes with print shipping labels within the Australia. At
present the organization does not deliver the product overseas. In addition to all these service the
organization have a separate system that helps in generating reminders for the customers not received the
delivery. The system keeps track of every customer details including pick up and drop up timings. SNS
is important for tracking, updating and understanding the current cost requirement. Each activity is
performed by the employees with the help of their own vehicles. At 10 pm evening of each day items are
produced by the agents of depot and are scheduled accordingly for delivery purpose.
