This essay brings out an elaboration on group and community work, which is affected system
theory and psychodynamic theory. The essay will come up with suitable difference between
theories also with core differences on this subject (Luyten et al., 2017). The first paragraph
describes psychodynamic theory and second paragraph will describe the system theory. At
last, there is a supporting difference of both the types of social groups (Basham et al., 2016).
While operating in a social group, it is seen that every human has its own behaviour and
tendency to work upon.
Psychodynamic theory is related to social work focusing on person`s behaviour of a person
and the unique way of affecting internal emotions driving to shape behaviour of a person.
Further, the deal is to respect and create a sense of stresses (Basham et al., 2016). The idea
has a rich fund idea through which practising and emphasizing the significant person`s
internal issue and emotions deriving the solution to a problem (Basham et al., 2016). The
theory grasps from the stemming of social interaction to help people in adjusting in the
society. The term signifies inadequate issues in life and further it will lead to aggression,
anger, and love. Coping is ability to manage the issues without opting any anxiety. System
theory is defined as the town planning to more forecasts into adaption of complex system
approach, and theories of housing building upon some new ideas in the system theory
(Basham et al., 2016). The main features will include elements, attributes, boundaries,
outcomes, and interactions appearing in several guises in a certain range of housing theories
that include urban planning, housing welfares, housing network theory, and housing
economics (Luyten, Mayes, Fonagy, Blatt, & Target, 2017). This theory avails a powerful
method through which it can describe homeostatic system where the systems are controlled
by feedback where regulatory procedures occur. Humanly goal focused the processes have
controlled behaviour where it is suitable for the psychological investigation. One greatest
discussed psychosomatic model where it is based on system theory that is related to social

motivation. This model is based on basic motives that include arousal, security, and
autonomy. This model undertakes to effort to preserve a suitable quantity of exact regulations
for the distance to the community partners.
System theory is defined as inter-disciplinary field of conscience as concerned with the
nature of the complex classification. The life model of the social effort practises relate to
importantly influenced by system philosophies and environment perspective. System theory
aims to foresee the social practise away by focusing on separate such as behavioural theories,
growth theories, and psychodynamic theories rather than focusing on person within the
environment. The main aim of system theories is to create a favourable person who is
environment fit and human interacts and change have been contributing to the positive
growth and social functioning. System theories are quite useful for communal work practise,
as they have provided theoretical basis to assess the client holistically with examination every
systems within the environment. Such new theories have primarily applied in the assessment
and also the intervention stage of the social work practise so that social worker examines the
client in an holistic way with the consideration social functioning, biological, psychological
and examining the interaction of systems within the environment by contributing to an
present issue. A social worker deem to intervene the focus as being underpinned with the
system theory.
The major different difference between the theories of these two identified approach for the
society implication are quite different. Social exchange will include social behaviour, which
will include social exchange where a person started motivating in order to attain value reward
for which that they will forfeit the value. This further indicates that it can seek profits in the
social exchange in regards to reward which is much more than cost. People will distribute, as
there will be no equity exchange as when others are awarded, which extends the cost
occurring. Certain important element will include contribution to psychodynamic in several

ways. The perspective underlie through a traditional social work (Bezuglov, & Comert,
2016). It emerges as psychoanalysis where it can focus on mind and the nature with the help
of focusing on behaviour of a person (Turel, & Saremi, 2016). Psychoanalytic will include
crucial aspects such as superego, ego, and id. The theory demonstrates how a person deals
with long-term disruption occurring to growth. Psychodynamic group and residential care
will illustrate psychodynamic theory (Turel, & Saremi, 2016). While evaluating certain
examples, it is purely based on theoretical development. Many schools have planned theory
environment for young people who can suffer from emotional and behavioural disorders
(Bhatia, Petraglia, Roten, & Drapeau, 2017). Psychodynamic concept is based on theoretical
development with certain examples (Turel, & Saremi, 2016). Few schools have planned the
theory of environment for young people who will suffer from the emotional and behavioural
disorders. On the other hand, this therapy is used as an American concept as people is based
on psychodynamic group work with an aim to maladjusted complying with the younger
generation (Bhatia, Petraglia, Roten, & Drapeau, 2017). This theory will also include many
issues on the basis of determinism and the individualism so that emotions drive unique action
where the internal emotions improves the behaviour of a person. This theory create barriers in
the changing practise of theories by focusing on present and future (Golan, & Himelboim,
2016). It is important to note that theory fails to incorporate several social issues that can
affect the practise. I will range from interventions, which can limit and finally suggest a
social reform (Alessi, & Kahn, 2019). From the organisation point of view, it is seen that
system theory companies must have open approach and social systems, which can interact
with the external environment so that it can survive, which is well known as open social
system (Golan, & Himelboim, 2016). Companies will depend on the environments for several
required resources such as customer who have purchased product and service, shareholders

who often invest, avail labour or management, and government who regulates (Golan, &
Himelboim, 2016).
On the basis of above finding on the similarity and differentiation, it is found that
psychodynamic theory and system theory, which affect the human individual behaviour when
performing in front of the social group. On the other hand, psychodynamic theory is a
roadmap through which it can harness the ability of the relationships that can finally
empower and motivate other people for an positive change.
