INTRODUCTION
System science and engineering is a very crucial aspect to be managed, it is required all the

consideration. These aspects will help in managing the things in a better way and will help in
delivering more refined information related to the use of system science and engineering in

NEED DEFINITION
System engineering process is generally commences on the basis of certain “wants” and
“desires” for some or the other thing which is based on the “real” deficiencies. In short it could
be explained that capability of the system so as to manage the real deficiencies is known as need.
For example the capability of the current system is not appropriate to meet the requirements of
the performance goals, so it will not remain available whenever it will be needed and will also
not be supported properly as it will be too costly (Kerzner, 2017). Hence, it is required to
evaluate the capacity of the system according to the need; this will help in managing the
architecture and will help in fulfilling all set of requirements in a proper way.
SYSTEM ENGINEERING PROCESS
The iterative approach to technical management, acquisition, supply, system design, product
realization, and technical evaluation at each and every level of the system, from the beginning to
the top and propagating all the processes with the help of a series of the steps which eventually
lead to the preferred system is known as system engineering process. It could also be understood
by saying that it is a series of systematic orders of the technical support systems with the effect
of which work process gets completed (Rahman, Wittman & Thabet, 2016).
There are two significant disciplines of which a system engineering is consists of. These two
disciplines are technical knowledge domain which is being operated by the system engineering
and system engineering management (Kerzner, 2017).
SYSTEM ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
System engineering management is integrated with three major activities, it is necessary that
these three activities should be properly taken into consideration. Also in the project of Antelia,
these three activities were taken into consideration by the engineers (Akshaya, 2016). Due to this
reason only they were able to manage such a big construction project and also succeeded in
completing the same within the time prescribed. Hence, the activities which are required to be
taken into consideration for system engineering management are:

The development phase is the phase which required proper planning which could help in
controlling the design process and which could provide the baseline with the effect of
which coordinated design efforts could be managed (Arai, 2011). This is the phase which
helps in managing the aspects in a better way. It is required that engineers should adopt
all the control measures at the development phase. Such type of strategy helps in
managing the things in a better way and helps in completing the same within the required
deadlines.
It is required that a structure should be provided so that the problems related to the design
could get resolved and the requirement flows could be tracked through the design efforts
(Blackstone & Morrison, 2010). It is required that such type of aspects should be taken
into consideration, developing a structure helps in managing the things in a better way.
Resolving the design problems should be kept on the priority so that work could get

(Mathaisel, Criscimagna & Manary, 2013). Engineers decided to develop a plan with the
effect of which they could apply the system engineering in Antilia which could work
properly.

Development Phasing
Development of a particular aspect requires that several stages and levels should be cleared. It is
necessary that each and every stage of development should be taken into consideration so that
the work could get completed in a proper way (Solloway, 2013). In the same manner in the
construction of Antelia building there were a certain set of development stages which were taken
into consideration by the engineers these stages are:
Concept level is the developmental stage in which the system design description was
taken into consideration (Whyte, 2011). These are the concepts which are usually
described in a concept study with the effect of which work could be managed in a proper
way. Concept level helped the engineers of Antelia in designing all the phases and helped
in resolving all the project related issues in a proper way.
System level is the level which is developed for the systems which will be used in the
project so as to fulfill the requirements of the same. In this, a system description is being
developed in the terms of performance requirement (O'Sullivan, & Dooley, 2009). It is

These are some of the developing phases which help the engineers in developing a better set of
understanding with the requirements of the project. It is necessary that a project must be

The project team working on Antelia developed a certain set of objectives so that they could

effective way (Blackstone & Morrison, 2010). The objectives which were set by the project team

According to the team, the prime focus was to produce the design solution which satisfies
initially defined requirements. Producing the design solution was one of the most

Antelia and after developing the blueprint they started working on the project so that any
