1. Introduction
It could be observed with the effective analysis of various business in different sectors
that without the proper functioning and the efficient technological development, the business
of the organisations is not adequate. In the situation of the XYZ bank, it could be observed
the business of the bank is significantly endangered due to the lack of the customer loyalty.
As the bank is unable to provide the optimised banking solutions to the customers, they are
leaving this bank and joining other options. For the efficient management of the resources of
the bank, the ERP solution is required to be implemented for providing the required
knowledge to the employees regarding the effective utilisation of the complex internal
subsystems. This report provides the CATWOE analysis of the ERP implementation in the
organisation and then a rich picture has been provided that help in the illustrating the working
of the organisation. Finally, an appropriate recommendation is provided to the organisation.
2. CATWOE analysis
In the present competitive environment of the businesses, it is primarily required to
have the adequate knowledge of problem solving (Trongtortam et al., 2018). Solving the
problems is the daily activity for the organisations functioning within any line of the
businesses, as it is solving the problems that commonly leads to most appropriate solutions.
The problems in the businesses could be ranged from being significantly simple to complex
and the unravelling of the problems could be immensely difficult if some of the components
are considered at one time (Mataruna-Dos-Santos, Zardini-Filho & Cazorla Milla, 2019). The
CATWOE analysis provides the efficient method of solving the problems that could be
perceived from various viewpoints. The main components of the CATWOE analysis are the
Clients, Actors, Transformation process, Worldview, Owner and the Environmental
restrictions (do Rosário, 2016).

Customers: The main aspect of any business is the customers. The business functions for
fulfilling the requirements of the customers by providing them with the best quality
products. The revenue that is generated by providing the products or the services to the
customers would help in the proper working of the organisation (Mshangi, Nfuka &
Sanga, 2016). In the situation of the XYZ bank, it could be observed that the organisation
is not able to provide the best quality banking solutions to the customers of the
organisation and it has led to the loss of the customers. Without the availability of the
technological solutions in the business, majority of the customers are not receiving the
banking solutions that are being provided by other banks. With the implementation of the
ERP solution in the organisation, the customers would get optimised banking facilities
and services.
Actors: The actors are described as the individuals who are completely involved in the
provided business problem and they are the individuals who are included in the situation
and would likely to be included in the resolution (Wright et al., 2018). In the situation of
the XYZ bank, the actors could be categorised as the customers of the bank, the
employees of the bank, vendors of the organisation and the manager of the bank. The
customers would be significantly affected by the implementation of the ERP in the bank
and gain the most benefits. The employees would gain the tools and the techniques for
executing several functions at the same time and provide the optimised solutions to the
customers.
Transformation process: In the working of any business, there are several processes
included that are executed on the periodic basis (Drivas et al., 2017). With the help of
efficient analysis, it is required to understand the basic processes and the functions on
which the business is working. In the situation of the XYZ bank, it could be observed that
customers purchase the credit cards, loans, insurance and the investments from the banks.

The bank is presently not able to provide the best quality services to the customers due to
the lack of technological solutions. With the help of the ERP implementation, several
functions of the organisation could be streamlined efficiently and it would help in the
effective functioning of the organisation. The financial operations could be significantly
streamlined with the help of the ERP solution in the organisation.
Worldview: For any business, it is required to consider the future state of the business and
initiate the implementation of the required improvements in the organisation for
achieving the future state of the organisation easily (Setianto, Cameron & Gaughan,
2014). The XYZ bank intends to provide the best quality facilities and services to the
customers and achieve significant growth in the banking industry. The competitors are
working with the technologies that are assisting the organisation to function efficiently.
The bank intends to implement the required technologies for improving the working of
the business. With the implementation of the ERP solution in the organisation, several
functions in the bank could be easily optimised and services that are provided by the bank
could be improved.
Owner: Instead of considering the owner of the organisation, this aspect of the CATWOE
analysis mainly considers the owner of the problem (Handayati, Simatupang & Perdana,
2015). Assigning the ownership of any situation in consideration is significantly
important as that group or the individual would be probably required to be included in
some manner and solve the situation of the business. In the situation of the XYZ bank, the
owner of the problem could be described as the manager and the IT department who are
unable to provide the required tools and the resources to the employees for working
efficiently. With the help of ERP solution in the organisation, the manager could view the
present condition of the business and analyse the required methods for improving the
business.

Environmental constraints: It has been observed that majority of the problems might have
the most common solutions, but the solutions might not be easily implemented in the
organisation due to the environmental restrictions like the budget of the improvement
process or the time available for implementing the changes (Thatcher & Yeow, 2018).
This process has been particularly considered as the most crucial due to the fact that it
introduces the main constraints in solving the considered problems in the organisation. As
soon as the potential solution are filtered by the consideration of the main realistic
restrictions, the appropriate solution could be formed appropriately (Nikolić &
Zlatanović, 2018). In the above considered bank, it could be observed that there are
several constraints included in the implementation of the ERP technology in the
organisation. As the business is lacking in the profits, it is significantly difficult to invest
in the technology and the time required for implementing the changes is significant and
the business would be more affected with the time spent in the implementation of the
technology.

4. Recommendations
It could be concluded from the above analysis, that the implementation of ERP
technology in the bank is important and the technology would provide several benefits to the
organisation. The customers of the organisation would gain significantly improved facilities
and the services than the other banks. It would help in increasing the customer loyalty and
help in gaining more profits for the organisation.
