Homework Assignment
AI Summary
This assignment presents a student's reflections on a translation research project in nursing, focusing on the challenges encountered while completing a PRISMA diagram for a systematic review. The student discusses difficulties in database searching, particularly regarding access to full-text articles and determining eligibility criteria for article inclusion. The assignment also includes a review of the systematic review process, emphasizing the importance of protocol development, keyword searching, and the three-step consideration of planning, selection, and summary recording. Furthermore, the student offers encouragement and suggestions to classmates, focusing on improvements to their systematic literature review process and communication skills. The assignment highlights the importance of specific article inclusion, keyword search strategies, and meta-analysis for successful systematic reviews.

TRANSLATION RESEARCH NURSING
Answer 1
In this database searching process firstly, I have faced the issue with finding the alternate
database source that can help me find more articles on the research topic. Secondly, after
exclusion of the screened records, I could not determine the eligibility criteria for the inclusion of
the reports accurately. The full-text access of the articles as the eligibility for selection has not
been justified by me as well. Hence, the further inclusion for the qualitative synthesis and
quantitative synthesis that is the meta-analysis could not be done by me as well. On this context,
I find it challenging to access full-text articles first, as I do not have access to all databases. The
majority of articles are locked in databases, as these require paid access. As of this issue, the
process of inclusion and exclusion is hampered for this systematic review process.
Answer 2
According to McGowan et al., (2016), the systematic review requires planning and
proper access to the articles that need to be reviewed. On this context, I can also state that the
proper systematic review requires a protocol development before the search for the articles;
Otherwise, there would be a possibility of bias. On the other hand, access to the full articles and
proper keyword searching would be considered as the search strategy. The factor of the
systematic review would be done with three steps consideration that is the planning, selection
and understanding of the contents and finally recording the review summary. Hence, the search
strategy for the systematic review should be focused on the specific topic. Therefore, based on
the specificity and the protocol, the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the articles would be
determined (Boell & Cecez-Kecmanovic, 2015). Finally, the recording of the summary of the
literature includes the factors of the qualitative and quantitative measures based on the research
protocol.

TRANSLATION RESEARCH NURSING
Answer 3
After reviewing the PRISMA charts of my colleagues, I have been encouraged for the
assignment. I have stated my regards and also helped them for their hard work. I have gained
knowledge from their work. Moreover, I find some improving aspects such as including more
specific articles in a more considerable amount, reviewing the specificity of the articles with the
keyword search strategy and focusing on statistical summarization that is Meta-analysis of
articles. I have suggested and encouraged them with positive language for the improvement of
their work on the systematic literature review process. I have also conveyed to them the
importance of the work and encourage them to obtain more knowledge in this aspect. I also
helped them in skill development for the communication of the process which can help them in
developing a proper systematic review based on the research topic.
