The paper mainly reflects on the organization “Get Help Me” is one of the charitable organizations

organization uses manual system for getting funds and therefore faces lot of problems. In order to
mitigate the issues, the organization generally wants to develop an appropriate information
system. The paper elaborates the approaches of system development as well as system

1. Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on a charitable organization named “Go Help Me” which is
mainly run by a group of volunteers as well as chairperson of the organization. It is found
that the organization generally wants to engage within a crowd funding event in order to
raise funds for treatment of ill child, for destroying fire as well as for single parent. It is
identified that the organization mainly uses manual system in order to raise money however
utilization of manual system creates number of issues as well as challenges. It is found that
for resolving the issues, the organization needs to successfully develop proper information
system.
The project objectives are generally elaborated below:
 To develop an information system
 To provide proper online facility of donating money
 To resolve the challenges that are mainly associated with the manual system
2. Approach to Systems Development
It is identified that before developing an information system for an organization “Go
Help Me” it is very much necessary for the organization to determine the different needs of
the system. The various features as well as requirements that are needed within the system
are generally illustrated below:
Clients portal: It is found that it is very much significant to have proper portal for the
clients of the organization such that they can be able to easily donate money online and can
be able to track their payment contribution in the past (Chen and Shen 2015). Moreover, the
clients can also be able to receive proper receipt for donation and yearly statement of the
contribution.
Automatic payment gateway: Automatic payment gateway is generally required by
the organization so that they can be able to donate money online and can easily get the
receipt for the payment procedure.
Online customer chat support: Online chat support system must be there so that
the staff does not always need to be available for answering the phone class as well as
messages in order to note the details of the tax voices (Polivka 2015).
It is identified that rapid application system development method is generally
utilized in for the development of an information system for “Go Help Me” which is one of
the charitable organizations (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017). This method is generally selected in
order to develop the information system as the process of prototyping is mainly utilized in
order to properly design as well as test the various features of the project prototype that
are generally mentioned. After the completion of the testing, it is found that the entire
version of the system will be developed quite successfully.

4. Project Cost Benefit Analysis
Cost benefit analysis considered as the significant business processes that is mainly
used for analyzing the decisions. The people who are associated with the project generally
sums the benefits that is gained after the project implementation for analyzing the

analysis which is generally created for the information system development helps in
reflecting that project ROI will be around 0.8898. The cost benefit analysis is mainly
analyzed with the help of the calculation that is generally done for determining the project

It is identified that the WBS is considered as the hierarchical structures which is generally
used in order to reflect the structure of the entire project and how the work that is related with the
project can be executed. Moreover, it is one of the organized views with which the work of the
project can be easily identified (Joslin and Muller 2015). On the other hand, it is found that Gantt
chart is reflected as the project sequential view which mainly showcase the entire work of the
project is planned and how it will be successfully completed over the assumed time period. In
addition to this, it is identified that the project utilizes both the WBS as well as Gantt chart for
developing the information system quite successfully so that the needs of the organization can be
met easily.
It is found that as the system requirements as well as goals are properly understood, the
project schedule that is generally created is very much reasonable. The project schedule is
considered to be reasonable as it will be helpful in executing the information system successfully by
meeting the objectives as well as goals of the project.

techniques include:

The justification for the different useful investigation techniques are generally elaborated below:
Personal interview: It is identified as one of the best methods for investigating the system. It is
found that with the help of this method, the staffs are generally interviewed for gathering
information about the problems which are mainly related with the operation of the new information
system.
Monthly system testing: It is considered as one of the methods that is used for testing the
system so that the challenges as well as issues of the system can be identified quite easily (Chen et
al., 2015).
Monitoring: Monitoring is one of the continuous procedures that is used for monitoring the
operation of the entire system for making sure that the entire system is working properly for
meeting the needs as well as requirements of the organization.
7. Reflections and Conclusions
I have identified that the development of information system is mainly done for mitigating
the challenges as well as issues that are associated with the organization in crowdfunding. With the
help of the upgraded information system, the organization can reach to a greater number of clients

and can be capable of managing all its operations online. Moreover, I have analyzed that as the
project manager keeps track on every activity or task that is performed, the entire project will be
completed on time.
From the entire report, it can concluded that the project development for the
charitable organization is very much beneficial as it not only assists in making all the
operations of the organization online but also assist in achieving the needs and requirement
of the organization successfully. In addition to this, it is found that proper cost benefit
analysis is generally conducted in order to analyze the return on investments. Moreover,
proper schedule for the project is developed such that the work of the project can be
completed quite successfully in the expected time.
