Portfolio
AI Summary
This portfolio presents a comprehensive overview of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) for an online learning system at HEC. It begins by identifying the problem and obtaining approval, followed by project planning, including resource and budget estimation. The portfolio details the discovery and understanding phase, emphasizing network configuration and database management. It outlines the design of system components, such as routers and switches, and the building, testing, and integration of the system. The portfolio includes a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) detailing project activities, durations, and dependencies. A sequence diagram illustrates the system's workflow, and a use case provides further context. The project culminates in system deployment and closure, with documentation and stakeholder sign-off. Finally, the portfolio includes a bibliography of relevant sources.

Systems Development Life Cycle Core Processes
Following are the six core processes in the system development life cycle core process:
Identifying the problem and obtaining approval: The existing problem is the
establishment of the system that can allow the students to enroll in the online learning system of
the HEC (high Education College). The problem is to establish the network and the database
management system that can boost and empower the operational activities related to the
enrollment and registration of the student. Proposing the draft to the executives of the HEC and
asking for the approval will b the next step.
Planning and Monitoring the Project: Resources and web development are the necessary
element for the establishment of a network where the University and the students can interact
with each other. The schedule and budget will be identified in this phase for the overall
execution of the project considering every activity, stakeholders, and the resources necessary for
the execution of the project.
Discovering and Understanding the Details: the establishment will be needing network
configuration including the routers, switches, web pages, and database management system
delivery. These establishments will be helpful in collecting and executing real-time data and
executing the needed activities.
Designing the system components for problem solving; The most necessary components
in making the system real will be the central router, sub-divided routers, and switches assuring
the successful establishment of the network. A web page and database management system will

be necessary in manner to collect and execute the real-time data and process them for necessary
transaction.
Building, Testing, and integrating system components: the system will be tested on the
platform, the identified result will be helpful in assuring the identification of the bugs and
glitches occurring in the completely developed system, and thus, the quality can be increased
through eliminating those bugs and glitches.
Completing system tests and Deploying: After accomplishing all the objectives and
processes mentioned above, the system will be deployed for the application of the developed
system assuring the highest efficiency and effectiveness of the system.
