Taco Bueno Job Analysis for Two Positions
Job Positions and Job Analysis
The Job positions chosen are Assistant Restaurant Manager and Crew Member for Taco
Bueno restaurants. In the job analysis for Assistant Restaurant Manager, the duties and tasks of
the manager are overseeing the staff in the kitchen and drive-through window, while at the same
time carrying out morning quality food checks and restaurant checks (Stewart & Brown,2014).
The restaurant chairs are all torn and this can affect customer service. The toilet also has
something broken and the manager has a challenge in getting them fixed as it seems procurement
takes time. The Assistant Restaurant Manager requires great speed since the role requires that the
person pack up the tacos for customers ordering via the drive-through window. It requires great
multi-tasking skills. The role further requires great customer relationship management skills
(Serrano,2018). The role could use more assistance by reviewing some duties.
The second job analyzed is for crew member at the restaurant. The role includes speaking
to customers who come to the drive through and taking their orders and payments (Stewart &
Brown,2014). The role also involves cooking the ingredients that go into the taco bells and
washing dishes. The staff must be very knowledgeable and fast to avoid build-up of traffic at the
drive-through. They must also now all the offerings the restaurant has and where they are on the
payment screen. The challenges facing this role are that things are not replaced when requested
for and some tools are not adequate. The role has too many tasks and should be reviewed
(Serrano,2018).
Collecting Information for Job Analysis
The method that has been used to collect information for a job analysis is interviews.
Through interviewing the staff, the manager has been able to get to determine the knowledge,
skills, and requirements for each job (Woods et al.,2017). Further, by engaging the staff in their
workstations it has become easier to get to know what exactly their job entails.

there should be fairness and no discrimination at all when it comes to giving staff jobs. The job
descriptions are in no way discriminative and provide the staff with enough roles as required,
hence not overburdening them. They are also in line with the equal pay and work act where
people who perform similar jobs should be paid the same without any discrimination whatsoever
(Burnham,2016). The employees have also been interviewed and their jobs analyzed as per their
