Summary of the article:
The Tactile Internet system or in simple words High-speed internet with minimum latency and
high security that boosts the development in the networking and communication field is
discussed in this article. The major problem associated with this Tactile Internet is the speed
which is consumed in processing and transition of the command from peer to peer, to reduce this
speed several technologies are used such as SDN(Software Defined Networking), NFV(Network
Function Virtualization) and MEC(Mobile edge computing). The major issue that is to overcome
is one-millisecond latency by implementing a centralized controller in the core of the Network
with Global Knowledge of System. When a user types something or wants to access something
than the time which is required to process the command is the latency which needs to be reduced
to one millisecond this can be achieved by reducing the nodes which are present between the
data server and the user by implementing a software system between the data server and the user.
All these software systems are employed in the 5G network system which is one of the major hot
topics in the industry. The 5G network enables real-time communication by employing modern
technologies and communication between the receiver and the transmitter throughout the cellular
network. By installing SDN (Software-defined Networking) at the core cellular networks the
flexibility and agile of the network can be improved. With the help of Application programming
Interface SDN allows to control, configure and manage the network. NFV (Network function
virtualization) uses the virtualization technology to make communication easier by virtualizing
the nodes of network classes. MEC (Mobile edge computing) is also helpful in accessing Internet
services at the edge of cellular networks.
Methods Used:
The Tactile Internet system or simply called as high-speed Internet system generally works as
three-layer system as the 5G system, these three layers are mainly based on three main
technologies named as NFV(Network function virtualization),MEC(Mobile edge computing) and
SDN(Software-defined networking). The 5G communication network will be very useful in
improving the speed and security issues of the 4G network but the only disadvantage associated
with this network is the cost involved in setting up the network. The Network function
virtualization reduces the usage of hardware, as hardware is the main component in networking

between peer to peer it is also one of the major reasons that increase the time delay in transition
of information so by reducing the necessity of hardware instead using some software
applications such as where the hardware switches needed to be used there the virtualized nodes
can be deployed that can definitely reduce the transition time and the network can respond faster.
Network function virtualization also has some more benefits like it reduces the power
consumption and increases physical space because the hardware utilization is reduced. The
software-defined network is helpful in effective network configuration by reducing the flow of
traffic load from the end user and by providing high security and gives the networking
experience similar to the cloud computing network. The second layer maintains the libraries of
the functions which are needed in the network in the software deployment base. The libraries
used are software function which can be utilized or used anywhere in the network. The main part
of the software-defined network lies within its controlling and managing path which is defined
with the help of Application Interface (Ateya et al., 2018). The status of the network can also be
known with the help of Application Interface. It is also helpful in solving the one millisecond
round trip delay this can be understood like when some user types some command then the
server responds to the command and the answer is given, then the status of the command is again
followed back to the receiver this is known as a round trip delay. The cloud traffic of the whole
network is connected with the help of Open flow switches to manage the data traffics and the
central controller (SDNC) which represents the control plane of the network is used to execute
function and operations with the help of programming and control logic. For the communication
between the open flow switches and the central controller is done with the help of open flow
protocol. There are various advantages of the central controller structure like it makes the system
more flexible, makes the system more reliable as the system relay on standardized technologies
and open flow protocol, the virtualization of the network function can be easily implemented, the
system’s quality of service can be easily achieved and it also gives higher scalability than the
core packet networks. CloudSim is written in Java which is a framework which is used for
simulation purpose for Software-defined networks. Before implementing the complete network
in its hardware form it is first tested on computer software with the help of cloudsim framework,
the network is first designed with the help of Mat lab and then the designed network is tested
with the help of software tools and after this with the help of cloudsim the simulation of the
designed network is accomplished.

Our Opinion:
In the advanced networking field or in the tactile Internet system the latency can be minimised
up to 1 millisecond with the help of 5G communication which uses technologies such as
Network function virtualisation and Software-defined networking which reduces the usage of
hardware system and instead implement the software tools or system which are faster and more
accurate than the hardware systems. The software framework also provides more advantages
such as the consumption of power are reduced and areas which were required for the hardware
devices are also reduced. The Software-defined networking helps in achieving the round trip
latency up to milliseconds with the implementation of software-defined networking at the core of
the network.
