Step 2 - Assessment Instructionsand Instruments
You are required to develop a complete assessment tool for the unit of competency indicated in the assessment
plan you have developed in the previous step.
Templates for the assessment tasks and methods are includedfor you to use if you wish. Noteyou are required to
use a range of assessment methods throughout your assessment plans (x3).
Assessments methods suitable to VET are listed on the following ASQA fact sheet:

The assessment task illustrate the procedure of sending fax with the help of a fax machine. The
manufacturer of the fax machine has provided all the instruction. Hence, the students need to send the fax
from one fax machine to another. The work of delivering the fax needs to be done without committing an
error.
According to the guideline, the students need to power up the workstation. After that the student need to
go to the MS Office. There the students need to fill up their name, time, date as well as the address. The
assessor or the examiner will check whether the students have made a mistake or not. They will check the
troubleshooting procedure in order to find out the faulty tools. It needs to be kept in mind that the student
needs to complete the entire task within 4 minutes.
