In this task, you are required to plan and organise assessment processes for three units of competency.
This assessment template resembles one assessment tool for one unit of competency. You are to duplicate this
booklet three times.
You will need to engage a qualified colleague who has a TAE qualification or has vocational expertise in the
relevant area to provide feedback to you on your training and assessment plan.
There are clear instructions throughout this resource and if at any time you have questions please do not hesitate
to contact your trainer/assessor.
Step 1 - Assessment Plan
You are required to develop an assessment plan for three different units of competency (one in this resource).
The assessment plan template is to be used for each of the threetraining and assessing environment assessment
plans and must be completed using a different unit of competency for each.

Step 2 - Assessment Instructionsand Instruments
You are required to develop a complete assessment tool for the unit of competency indicated in the assessment
plan you have developed in the previous step.
Templates for the assessment tasks and methods are includedfor you to use if you wish. Noteyou are required to
use a range of assessment methods throughout your assessment plans (x3).

Instructions to the candidate:
This task assessment requires you to find proper equipments that can be used in ordet to provide
a response against oil spills. You are going to be observed thoroughly while preparing the
equipments according to the Occupational Health and Safety requirements. You will ned to
prepare a deployment and development plan that will be uploaded online for environmentalists to
adopt and that when completed will prve your competency.
You need to read over the manuals and the rule books on environmental conditions on the
internet. Then you need to write your full name, address, date and time in a Microsoft Word file.
The assessor will be playing the role of correcting the mistakes that have been made while
preparing the deployment or development plan or identifying the proper equipments.
Site Specific Deployment Plan
The oil spills that happen over time on the different water bodies is the release of petroleum
hydrocarbon in liquid form into the ecosystems of the environment because of the humans. The
term defines the marine kind of oil spills and cause pollution. The development plan will help you
to provide an adequate and regular exercise that can be used to access the right type of
equipment for the response against oil spills.
The development plan involves:

workplace environment that is simulated.
 The details of the studenst along with the specific needs of learning of individual candidate.
Assessor Information
 The assessor has to make sure that the whole training facility gives the idea of the
environment of a workplace along with the resources that are associated with each task, the
equipments and the materials required before the assessment tasks are being initiated.
 The facilty of training needs to include items such as chairs, desks, PC, A4 size papers, pens,
pencils, manuals and rule books.
 The student needs to have an ID and a password so that his or her online footprints can be
