Part 4
4.1 Reflection
While working on the Virtucon-Globex project, I have understood the importance of having
knowledge about the different methodologies associated with a project. Use of an appropriate
project methodology ensures that the project will be implemented successfully. I have also learnt
that in successful implementation of a project, having appropriate leadership quality is important.
The aim of a project leader is to lead his/her team towards successful project completion. The
manager of a project often plays the role of a project leader in order to ensure that the project team
is working for the combined goal of successful completion of a project. Apart from that, I have
understood that it is important for the members of the team to have knowledge about the skills and
methods of successful project implementation. While implementation of the project, I have
understood that it is essential for a project manager to have excellent communication skill that is
required to indulge in effective communication with the team members. Apart from that, it is
essential for a project manager to understand the process of risk management in order to identify
the risks and issues related to the project. In addition to this, a project manager should understand
the process of project scheduling and cost control, so that a project is implemented within the set
time and within the set project budget.
