This report investigates the motivational factors influencing tourists to visit Taipei's urban attractions. The study, conducted with 50 tourists in August 2018, reveals that cultural uniqueness and attractive scenery are primary motivators. Taipei's well-developed public transportation system, particularly the MRT, enhances its appeal for urban tourism. The report highlights the importance of understanding Taipei's culture to boost outbound tourism and emphasizes the role of destination information and advanced infrastructure in attracting visitors. It delves into tourist motivations, cultural tourism, tourist typologies, consumption patterns, and marketing strategies. The findings, based on respondent demographics and descriptive examinations, provide valuable insights for promoting sustainable tourism in Taipei.
