• The presentation is based on world heritage site that means a
particular area that have rich culture or have ancient history
related to it.
• Along with this, this it will discuss about world heritage site
and why it is important.
• The current study will be based on Taj Mahal which is
known as one of the most beautiful architectural building.

What do you understand by ‘World Heritage Site’?
• The word heritage means any property or monument that represent culture as
well as tradition of particular country. In simple word it can be describe as
property which has been inherited.
• The most common and famous example of such sites are pyramid of Egypt a
baroque cathedrals of America.
• The world heritage site showcase development of human history over thousand
and also represent art, architecture, industry and religion.
• Along with this, it has been observed that on 18 April world heritage site is
celebrated in order to preserve the human heritage as well as to recognize the
efforts of the organizations working for it.
• Although UNESCO has been working over sites and places in order to identify
world heritage site so that it can protect them for the future generation.

• Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful building made up of white marble built in Agra in the year
of 1691 to 1648 by the Mughal king Shah Jahan in the memory of his most beloved wife Mumtaz.
• It is considered as jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the most admired masterpieces of the
World Heritage sites.
• Taj Mahal is not only known for its art or white marble but it is also known as symbol of love
and peace. And it is considered as outstanding universal value.
• The reason behind choosing Taj Mahal is that it represents the finest architectural and artistic
achievement through perfect excellence craftsmanship and harmony of Islamic and indo culture.
• It has a unique aesthetic quality in balance and harmonious blending of various elements.
• Along with this, it represent Mughal culture and tradition that was followed by people. The
beauty of Taj Mahal attracts people the most and makes it very famous in the world.

• It is considered as natural beauty as it is well known for its indo- Muslim culture

• It is also known as symbol of love that attracts lots of tourist.
• Taj Mahal due to artistic nature has been considered as heritage site and its unique
beauty like Mughal garden as well as mausoleum which is not found in common.
• Moreover, its unique mixture of culture, history and its overwhelming view has been the
most important point while listing in the heritage site of world.
• In the year of 1982 UNESCO has considered Taj Mahal as national symbol of India in
the world heritage site.
