INTRODUCTION
Organisational structure is the structure which helps in deciding the responsibilities,
roles and duties of the employees in the organisation. It supports in managing the size and design
of the work culture as per the situation of the company. The company chosen in the project is
Takeda which is a pharmaceutical company and one of the largest pharmaceutical company in
the Asia and was founded by Chobei Takeda in the year 1781 (Al-Kfairy and Mellor, 2020). The
repost is going to highlight the whole process of evolution of Takeda's organisational structure
with the time and the role of corporate vision, people, values, and culture for the long term
growth of Takeda. The report further explains the components of the value chain as it is a model
which allows the company to transform the product or the service.

1. The evolution of Takeda's organisational structure throughout their time
Organisational structure
It is a way which is required for the purpose of development of the company in which the
employees are clear about their duties, levels and responsibilities. The company started its
journey by selling traditional Japanese and Chinese herbal medicines in Doshomachi in Japan.
The founder of the company Chobei was known for the high quality of his products and his
careful and consistent work style that passed on to the Takeda family. They work on the basis of
principle that is related to social responsibility that is to serve the public, work together in
harmony, make efforts to study deeply, respect plainness, and observe the propriety properly.
After World War II ended, the Japanese government enforced a series of protective measures to
promote the whole process of pharmaceutical manufacturing (Kopnina, 2021). The company also
got the license to convert the naval arsenal into a plant which primarily manufactured vaccines
and became the company’s second- main facility. The company also started the production of
Japan’s first multivitamin, which helps the people of Japan from various suffering such as
malnutrition and many others. As the pharmaceutical industry also grew in different countries
that was beneficial for the company (Li and et.al., 2020). Moreover, the government revised
regulations that had protected Japanese pharma companies that working in the foreign
companies. Japanese pharma companies also stepped up their R&D capabilities to produce new
medicines and items in order to boost the image of the company in the global market.

Role of corporate vision
Corporate vision is said to be a important for the company as it explains the ways in
which the company can set the rules and standards for the purpose of integrity and fairness in
the working (Pellegrini, Rizzi and Frey, 2018). In the chosen company, the management of the
company focuses on acting with integrity all the times with the high level of ethical standards
for the purpose of fairness and honesty in all the activities. By using these ethical standards, the
trust and confidence can be built around the people and the company will expand for the purpose
of making people's lives better by new innovations (Huybrechts and et.al., 2018).
Role of people, values, and culture
People play an important role in the success or failure of the company as they are the asset of the
company and are required for making the company best in the market. The values and culture are
necessary to guide the employees for the purpose of work (Ben Arfi and Hikkerova, 2021). In
relation to the company,the history of the company was never managed by mixture of people but
now there are different people handling it such as a French CEO, a German head, American head
of R& D department and many others. They make sure the values of the company will never be
changed and these values are required to be spread worldwide so that they can understand the
values too. The main focus of the company is to provide healthier life for people around the
world and it is committed towards improving the healthcare solutions of the people. The
company uses new and innovative medicines that of high quality. The company uses all type of
challenges that will ultimately boost their confidence in making world a better and healthy place
for everyone (Darini, 2021).
2.Value chain activities of the company and the components of their value chain
Value Chain is said to be a set of activities that are required for performing better in
specific form of industry so that they can contribute a valuable product in the market for the
satisfaction of the customer (Li, Zhou and Hou, 2021). Takeda also focuses on the employment
system for the purpose of smooth running of operations. Its main strategy is to appreciate those
people who are willing to work for the company for the purpose of the career and the employees
who are performing well will be retained by the company. It also tries to develop all the people
at different level with consistent growth (Márquez-Ramos,2018). Any company can evaluate the
main details of the procedures which are included at every stage so that the cost can be managed

in the market for the best production efficiency. As the price of goods in pharmaceutical
industries are getting increased in that situation, value chain helps a lot to create a competitive
advantage for the company in order to enhance the level of productivity with optimum utilisation
of resources and unbeatable prices with a strong customer base. In reference to company, it is
becoming a global company and the value chain of Takeda is adding all the activities which are
affecting the company.
The framework of the value chain derives from making delivery of products and services
of the company. Under the approach, effective measures are being taken into consideration for
which better efforts are being initiated in respect to derive productivity of the firm in respect to
delivering products and services of the company to ultimate customers. In the context of the
chosen company i.e., Takeda, managers of the company relate their operational working in
regards to supply chain in form various stages. In the process being several elements of the
model of supply chain are being taken into consideration that includes the following;
There are main components of the value chain which are explained below-
Inbound logistics- It comprises of various functions such as managing the inventory and
warehousing. Takeda is directly focused on receiving, storing and managing the products
of the inputs. But the company is outsourcing its most of the products to satisfy the
customers. Under the stated element of the model, operation relating to warehousing,
receiving and inventory management takes place. For the given stage various terms are
being taken into consideration for which better results are being obtained in respect to
delivering the supply of goods and services reflecting potential demands of customers in
the business market. In the context of chosen company, managers of the firm take
effective considerations of inventory management for which demand of customers of the
company are being satisfied. It comprises of various functions such as managing the
inventory and warehousing. The inbound logistics are the activities of Takeda that
comprise of receiving of the several inputs along with their storage as well as
dissemination. These tend to include material handing, storing of the physical products
into warehouses along with the architecture to receive as well store the information of the
customer. Takeda has been focussing upon the outsourcng of several inbound logistics
activities.

Operations-Under this, the products are converted into finished into final products so
that it can be sold in the market. The data of the customers will be served by
advertisements as per their behaviour of the customers. For the given stage process of
conversion of raw materials into finished goods are being taken into consideration. Under
the stated stage managers of the respective firm take key consideration to a desirable
output of efforts being derived in respect to the investment of input of raw materials. In
the context of chosen healthcare firm, it can be said that the quality of finished goods and
services is taken into consideration at the top most priority. Under this, the products are
converted into finished into final products so that it can be sold in the market. In context
of Takeda, the raw material which is plastic, is moulded in order to make a new product.
Also, The customer data is used in order to serve the advertisements in context to the
behaviour of the clients during the course of utilisation.
Outbound logistics- Under this component the products will be delivered to the final
consumers. The chosen company can undertake some activities which are utilised to
distribute the final products to the buyers such as wholesalers, buyers and various

distribution and shipping are being reflected. For inclusive activities supporting activity
to the healthcare firm is being taken into consideration. Under the element, relative

this component the products will be delivered to the final consumers. The outbound
logistics focuses upon the distribution of the final goods with the help of several partners.
The several activities included in the outbound logistics are processing, scheduling,
distribution network along with the whole sellers as well as the retailers in order to fulfil
the order requirement through warehousing.
Marketing and sales-This comprises of various advertising, promotional and pricing
methods that will be useful for the company in order to expand. The chosen company can
undertake some activities such as pricing, advertising, promotion for managing the sales

given business market. This comprises of various advertising, promotional and pricing
methods that will be useful for the company in order to expand. The marketing and sales
activities are basically performed in order to create a mean through which the buyer can
get informed regarding the products and services of the organisation. The marketing and
sales activities play a crucial role in increasing the sales of the organisation through the
awareness.
Service- The various services which are being offered to customers such as refund,
repair, exchange and repair services (Osunnuga, 2020). Under this, chosen company
adopt some training, services about installation and various alignment of the software too.
In this last stage, with respect to determining long-term relations with business customers
are being taken into consideration. For the stated stage effective terms are being derived
in which after sales activities of the business firm are being taken care of by managers of
the company. The various services which are being offered to customers such as refund,
repair, exchange and repair services(Osunnuga, 2020). These service that are offered by
take da include the after dales services in order to provide customers with utmost
satisfaction. The services include training the customers regarding the use of the services,
installation of the product, post sales maintenance as well as the part supply. It helps in
maintaining positive relation and loyal customer base for the organisation.
There are various activities that support the overall development of the company.
Technological development- In this various research and development will be included
by the company for making it more innovative and technological in the market
(Waddock and Rasche, 2020). The chosen company is including various activities such
as selection, designs of components, feature design and the engineering process.
Human resource management- These activities includes the hiring and retaining
process to fulfil the goals of the company as human resource are the main asset of the
company. As per the company, the HRM affects the overall competitive advantage.
Infrastructure- The quality control, accounting, finance are included in the
management for the company. In relation to company, the infrastructure activities are
