(1.0) Introduction
Talabat was founded in 2004 by a group of Kuwaiti entrepreneurs. Abdulhamid Al Omar
because the first CEO of the company and contributed much to its growth as the head of
Business development and product. Abdulhamid received his MBA from the University of Leeds
with a BSc in Computer science which was very vital to the designing of the website for the
company. Currently it is owned by Delivery Hero AG the company owned by Mohamed Jaafar
who took over the ownership in 2010 after the enterprise was sold to him. In the year 2015,
Rocket internet acquired its ownership for 170m USD which represented the largest internet
technology acquisition in the Middle East to date.Talabat.Com is one among the online food
ordering platform whose operation is based in the GCC that is Emirates, Oman, Arabia, and
Qatar. The Company is the largest online food ordering platform in the Middle East. Users can
order from over 4300 restaurant partners including brands such as Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut,
Papa John’s and Subway as well as local eateries from different cuisines.

(2.0) Talabat as an entrepreneurial Growth Company.
Organizational growth and development is perceived as a vital component for any
entrepreneurial company (Cooper & Folta, 2017).Talabat.com is an entrepreneurial company
because it was established to fill the gap that existed in the online food industry in the Middle
East. Talabat has fully taken the advantage of the new technology to design efficient website to
enhance the communication between the clients and the company which has enhanced efficient
feedback in relation to the client concerns about the products. This has enabled the company to
meet their needs hence resulting to consumer satisfaction which is a very crucial aspect for
Talabat as an entrepreneurial growth company. According to the evolution crises theory, the
growth of any organization is a gradual process. In 2010 the operation of Talabat went beyond
the borders of Kuwait and its daily transaction number was ranging about 1250 orders of
transaction in a day. As a newly hired entrepreneur, I will employ the approach of evolution
crises to soar the company to higher heights. First I will ensure active creativity and its
application in the company on matter the system advancement from then 6alabat.com to the
talabat.com. This change in the system brought the company a big win in 2015 where the
company was awarded in the Ukraine e-award for the advancement in the science field. The
promotion mode has been advanced from the online range ton application range and other offline
services. There is also great promotion and evolution of decentralized structure with acquisition
of top down communication. When formal planning is involved the coordination and allocation
of resources there is an assured expansion (Bhachu, 2017).

(3.0) Entrepreneurial Traits and mindset of Abdulhamid Al Omar.
There are several entrepreneurial traits by Abdulhamid Al Omar that has led to the success of the
company within the competitive business environment. The CEO of the company was very
curious regarding the idea that the young entrepreneurs in Kuwaiti had and opted to offer them
maximum support through initiating the product development strategies which were very crucial
for the success of the enterprise. (Kirzner, 2015). The CEO was very committed through
formulating effective marketing strategies hence ended up facilitating the creation of a website
for the company which has been effective in enhancing the process of ordering various food
staffs by various individuals across various parts of the world. The CEO came up with some of
the indicators of business success such as increased market for the food staffs which enhanced
the establishment of various headquarters in the Middle East. This further enhanced the growth
and the development of the business within its competitive business environment (Lipset,
2018).Being an optimist, the CEO had a lot of hopes with the company when it started and he
believed that it would expand to be a big business which is very evident currently because
Talabat.com serves a lot of people across various parts of the world. (Meyer, Neck, & Meeks,
2017).The CEO risked his savings and invested in the designing of the website for the company.
Creating various features in the website to facilitate E-commerce which was quite expensive was
a good risk taken by the CEO who eventually made the company successful (Naranjo-Valencia
et al., 2018). Entrepreneurial mindset is where an individual’s mind is focused on entrepreneurial
activities. Abdulhamid Al Omar maintained a ‘quality mindset ‘where he ensured that the
company supplied quality food to the clients so as to maintain the good relationship between the
clients and the company.

(4.0) Internal weakness in resources and competences.
The company has several setbacks to its effective performance. The management is full of
corruption hence poor recruitment and selection of new employees within the company. The
company is also experiencing skills shortage in some of the fields such as programming due to
few experts hence posing insecurity to the company website due to lack of an effective website
expert to secure the website from intruders . Talabat.com is also experiencing poor financial
management from the management hindering its rapid development. (Terjesen, Hessels, & Li,
2016). The company has inadequate access to financial resources which are vital for expansion
due to lack of transparency in the financial department which leads to limited financial access to
lenders and banks. Therefore the auditing team of the company should identify these weaknesses
and try to sort them out in manner that will optimize the profit. (Sarasvathy, Dew, & Wiltbank,
2016).

The organization should adopt the strategic pyramid shown below to overcome the operational
challenges.

The Kuwaiti young entrepreneurs came up with the idea for having a food delivery company in
the Middle East through an online platform which was a unique business idea that was not
implemented by any other company then. (Audretsch, 2017). As a result they came up with
Talabat.com, a platform that connects users to the largest selection of restaurants in the region to
order online and pay either by cash or card.The creativity involved also rates higher considering
the mode of placing orders and implementing payment using cards (Shepherd & Zacharakis,
2018) .The Company can make creativity and innovation a culture through making use of the
latest technology used in E-commerce. The management of the company should ensure that the
enterprising behavior is improved through which the company shall achieve sustainable growth.
The company should further initiate training and development programs for its employees for
achievement of the desired goals and objectives.Talabat.com applies pull marketing strategy as
an enterprising element for achieving a wide market for its food (Hardy& Maguire, 2017). The
company uses this strategy which ensures that the consumers gain interest in the food produced
by the company hence making orders. This strategy is important because it enables the company
to establish a direct contact with consumers hence building consumer loyalty.

(6.0) Recommendation and Opportunities for accelerated and sustainable growth
To achieve sustainability in growth and development, the company should focus more on quality
of the food to enhance consumer satisfaction. This would enable the organization be the first
choice among various consumers in the Middle East and the rest of the world (Storey, 2016). The
company need to formulate various policies to enhance the implementation of the strategies
which would accelerate its growth and development. The company should conduct a thorough
market research and identify the food preferences for consumers in different localities so as to
ensure supply of appropriate food staffs for the consumers (Rawhouser, Cummings & Newbert,
2019).The research would also enhance the discovery of new food staffs in the market so as to
inculcate them in the menu for the consumers enhancing consumer loyalty which enhances
repetitive purchasing behavior hence the growth and development of the organization. The
management should devise an appropriate model of marketing to ensure that all the consumers
are made aware of the food to increase the sales which accelerates the growth of the company.

foundation that he laid for the company. The success of the company has been attributed to its
effective marketing strategies. The CEO of the company has also played a crucial role for the
success of the company which is a clear implication of the influence managers can have to the
business enterprise. The innovations made in the designing of the website to facilitate
transactions has also seen the organization soaring to maximum heights in performance which
have enhanced its profit maximization and growth. The pull strategy applied by the company is
very effective and would result for the continuous success of company within the competitive
