TASK 3
P4 Positive and negative impact on macro environment
The external or macro-environmental can be simply defined as those elements that are
present at outside the control of corporation (Siewiorek and et.al., 2012). It significantly
influences on their performances and the ability of compete with their competitors present in the
market place. Some of the examples of macro-environmental factors are government, economy,
technology, social situations, etc.
The impacts of macro-environmental on the Talent plus are listed below:
ï‚· Political factors: As company is dealing with consultancy business of Human resource
management, it is impacted by the various laws of government bodies. It provide
positively effects as laws like working hour management of employees, violation of child
labours, etc. are imposed by them which is good for the freshers as their right are given to
them. The government of UK prohibits the discrimination in recruiting and this gives
direct influence on practices of recruitment. Additionally, the trade union plays a critical
role in the process of hiring the employees. This limits the freedom of management that is
selection of those workers that are believed to be best. The government laws changes
after few years as the new one comes into power.
ï‚· Economic factor: The enterprise gets highly impacted by the economical conditions
because they a need a large amount of money to run their business but if such income is
not gained then it becomes a matter of concern. The recruiting gets cost to the employer,
hence, corporation should try that sources of recruitment which deliver a lower cost to

the enterprise for each employee (Blanchard, Tolbert and Mencken, 2011). Hence, this
was the negative impact. On the other hand, positive affects also exists. If the venture has
more money to invest then they hire best workers by paying them more revenue but they
focus mainly on quality work and customer service. The talent management or hiring
skilled worker can only be done when a large number of surveys should conducted on
different colleges and universities and this needed surplus amount of money and time
also.
ï‚· Technological factor: The technology has developed now a days providing both
positively and negatively impacts. The various modes of communication has now
enhanced like video conferencing, chatting, online meetings, etc. The organisation can
hire their candidates by taking their online test only. There is another option of taking
interviews via video calls. This can reduces the time as well as costs of firm. So, it is very
important. The clients and workers can be communicated and issues of products can be
solved by without having physical interaction between them (Klapper and Love, 2010).
They can solve this on phone calls, messaging, etc. This also lowers the travelling cost of
them. The corporation can make effective advertisement by making their website online
whereby candidates can apply for jobs and it is the responsibility of Talent plus to
provide them jobs as per their skills. The various software like spreadsheet, Ms-Excel,
etc. are used to do the task of calculations very easily and it takes very small fraction of
time. The negative impact is also present (Boons and Lüdeke-Freund, 2013). As venture
is using internet based system or techniques, this causes a loss or theft of important
information, hacking can be occurred, etc. This reduces the brand image of company as
clients loose their faith from them. This lowers the overall turnover of them as the present
customers switch to other corporations.
ï‚· Social: The society also impacts on the working of corporation. The population is
increasing day by day and according to that the number of job should also increases but
company is not creating new jobs . This causes unemployment in the local people . So, it
is the task of firm to create new job opportunities so that more and more people get work.
This improves the branding of them and also enhances their turnover. The employment
conditions in the people where the firm is located will surely influence the hiring efforts
of the company (Oh, 2010). If extra manpower is present at the time of recruitment, then

the informal attempts at that time can be done like announcement of meeting are done
through notice board. This will attract large number of applicants.
Legal factors: The various laws are imposed by government like workers having the
nationality is only hired, non-national people are not allowed to work, employees laws, women
right law, etc. The candidates having the age under eighteen are not allowed to work as they are
not matured and need to educate themselves more. The labour law is also present where
relationship between workers and employees are focused (Gebauer, Paiola and Edvardsson,
2010). Certain other laws like laws prohibiting discrimination in employment, occupational
health and safety law, the compensation law related to worker. These all impacts a lot on the
working of corporation as violation of any one of these causes major issues. The government
may take strict action against the company if any law is not followed.
TASK 4
P5 Internal and external analysis of Talent Plus
Macro environment is part of external environment. It affects business in positive as well
as negative way. These factors are normally uncontrollable and are beyond control of any
organisation. It consists of events, organisations, individuals, conditions, forces and agencies.
Good interaction and interdependent relations are found in macro environment. It is very crucial
to understand working of this system because it can't be directly controlled and measured. Talent
plus has a great internal and external system. Whole system is coordinated really well. It can be
seen that this human resource related firm can develop great profits and is very efficient in
keeping customers happy (Carroll and Shabana, 2010). Here, company's SWOT analysis has
been done and its main features have been calculated in order to know what is required here.
STRENGTHS
1.Experienced employees – Talent Plus has a great number of employees which are having great
experience. Due to this reason company is less liable to any mistakes or errors. Employees who
are experienced knows ways to find solution to any problem. They can assess problems better
and work under pressure. They have strong will power. Also it can be seen that these employees
are more loyal as compared to new employees.
Document Page
2.Internal process of working – Internal process is really strong and efficient. So work output
that we get is better. Due to better internal working information is not leaked outside in market.
So,policies ans strategies are kept hidden and are very crucial here.
3.Leadership – Employees who lead here are having good skills and help a lot to reach desired
goal. It is also seen that team they control are really best and give a great output. It is seen in
every situation good leadership skills are required and hence a good result is obtained after all.
WEAKNESS
1.Lower brand image – Image of Talent Plus is not that strong since it is not a big company. Due
to this reason company's revenue generation is really low as compared to others (Kang, Lee and
Kim, 2010). Also, it can be seen that it has to work a lot on improving it's image continuously.
2.Promotions – Are not easy to get here. And even if promotions are done it doesn't give benefits
which come along promotions. So, promotional activities must be taken care of.
3.Internal communication – Poor internal communication is a big result for poor productivity.
Communication is required everywhere to know problems, solutions, basic understanding to
employees issues.
THREATS
1.Market competition – Is really high for Talent Plus. Giant companies are present in world
today who are ready to take over any other competitive company. So, it has to be seen that these
threats needs to be taken care of and fought over to win in market. A firm which is very
competitive will result in lowering its own product price in order to win over other product. So, it
becomes really important to find out ways to survive in such conditions.
2.Change in economy – Economical changes results change in policies and various rules and
regulations related to any business. It is directly dependent on country's economic conditions.
These conditions needs to be taken care of and are really helpful (Colfax, Rivera and Perez,
2010). A policy produced during past economic condition can only help in those times and will
not be useful in current conditions.
OPPORTUNITY
1.Increase in demand – Demand has to be increased to make sales. Talent plus should focus on
providing such products and services which would increase their demand. This demand has to be
made constant and should never decline. It is related to products and services required to increase
sales. Talent Plus should increase their sales by expanding their field of expertise.
Document Page
2.Needs HR management – HR management is not up to the mark of Talent Plus. HR services
needs changes which would be beneficiary for company as well as employee working in it. HR
policies should be up to latest trends and rules.
