According to (Garg, 2018) electronic check in is the latest technology which has enhanced the
working of the industry. But not every hotel is ready to keep up with the challenging
transformation. Hotels which are operating on a large scale such as Premier Inn has successfully
implemented this innovation in their culture. When tourists enter into the hotel and register
themselves then the manager of the hotel hands them a key card which is new method as it has
more frequencies which helps to recognize the identity. This has simplified the process for the
tourists as they don't have to register to front office every time they can go on to their room
directly and enter with the help of key card. This is a costly measure and difficult for the small
hotels to cope up with and it is making them go out of competition which is affecting their
revenues and profitability. Most of the people see the reviews online before booking the room. It
is a measure to recognize the value and reputation of the hotel. This is an essential factor for the
hotel so that as their whole goodwill depends on it (Mutadzakupa, Swart and Van Zyl, 2018).

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
Research Philosophy-
Researcher was able to obtain the knowledge and the creative ideas by noticing and assessing all
the facts. Researcher used Interpretivism philosophy. This method was difficult for the researcher
as there are many types of differences in this philosophy which made it difficult for him to
understand and even collecting the information through this philosophy was not easy and took a
lot of time of the researcher. Quantifiable data and observations are the aspect which are taken
into focus for obtaining the result from this philosophy (Jenkins, 2017).
Research Design-
Design of the research is planned in a way by which the researcher can get answers to all the
questions. Answers to the questions are collected by conducting a research and there are two
types of methods to do that is quantitative and qualitative. Different methods have different
strategies which helps to analyse and collect the data. In order to explore other areas so that more
specific information can be obtained and for that the method that the researcher used was
exploratory method. The answers collected with the help of this method are not considered as the
final answers. This is the reason why researcher takes a different way of collecting the answer
and information related to it. It is based on the fundamental aspects which states that evidence are
overlooked and not updated while the research was conducted (Okumus and et.al.,2017).
Research Approach-
Researcher chose the approach of deductive research which helps to assess the validity of
assumptions so that it can be evaluated that these are the factors of deductive research.
Hypothesis of research is taken out and it must be either confirmed or denied. This approach is
mainly concerned with the issues of labour migration (Sheehan, Grant and Garavan, 2018).
Data Collection-
Information of data is collected from different sources available with all the measures used so
that they can find the answers. Two types of methods are there for the collection of data that is
primary and secondary method of data. Researcher has taken primary method to gather the

information for the report. Questionnaire method is taken by the researcher in order to find out
the answers to the questions. This type of data collection method is divided into two parts that is
quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative method is concerned with aspects such as
maths, calculations etc. On the other hand qualitative method is concerned with observing and
taking notes of emotions of people, how they feel about things and how they react to it but all of
these things are not included in the quantifiable measure (Swarbrooke, 2017).
Sampling-
Only some of the members from the population are selected as it is not possible to conduct the
research by approaching the whole population directly. With the help of this method they are
able to collect the information by covering a large no. of people. Researcher uses the method of
statistical sampling so that they can target a large no of people for the purpose of completing the
research (Golubovskaya, Solnet and Robinson, 2019).
Data Analysis-
Quantitative and qualitative methods are two types which helps to analyse the data. Interviews,
experiments and focus groups are included in qualitative data. Aims and objectives of the
research are required to use this method in the research whereas figures, calculations and
interpreting the data based on figures is a part of quantitative method. The method chosen by
research is qualitative method (Horner, 2017).
