working area. Basically, the main purpose of talent management is to develop positive working
environment wherein workforce is motivated. This is the reason that workforce will stay at working
area for longer period of time. If employees are effectively managing at working area, then it may
assist in reducing employee turnover as it directly put positive impact over the organizational
success. In this, HR manager is highly responsible for managing their talent with the aim of keeping
them motivated and influenced towards their goals and objectives. This will directly contribute in
improving the possibilities of attaining competitive success at market place.
Benefits of effective talent management for ASDA
As per view point of Brooks, (2019) managing talent is considering as an integral part of business

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What your
areas of research will cover:
Types of investigation: In order to carry out research activities, there are two type of investigations
including qualitative and quantitative research. As per current investigation, investigator will select
quantitative research method as it provides measurable information on the basis of particular
research topic and area. One of the main advantage of using qualitative method is that it allows
researcher to reach a large number of sample size. By using this, reliable as well as repeatable
information can be easily obtained. On the other side, improper representation of the largest
population is major limitation of using quantitative method within the study.
Research philosophy: Positivism and interpretivism are the two type of research philosophy that

used to undertake research activities in an appropriate manner. For carry out current investigation,
researcher will use positivism research philosophy as it is based on the factual knowledge that
acquire through observation. This type of data is trustworthy in nature and also provide reliable
result at the end of study. The main advantage of using positivism research is that it follows a well-
defined structure while undertaking a study that give more reliable information as compare to
qualitative research. Apart from this, drawback of using this method is that it is inflexible in nature
and human behaviour that create issues in understanding the nature of research.
Data collection: It is referring to the procedure of acquiring as well as measuring information over
the targeted variables in an effective manner. Mainly, it is classified into two methods such as
primary and secondary method. Both are effective for collecting data and provide assistance in
developing reliable information that may draw a valid conclusion. As per current investigation,
both methods will be used as primary method of data collection provide a structured questionnaire
filled by selected respondents to analysis their opinion. Other side, literature review is also
undertaken to gather secondary or detailed information about the research topic. Primary method
is beneficial for providing authentic and up to date information while secondary data is very cheap
and not time consuming.
Research sampling: It is procedure of selecting sample size from the larger population with the
aim of gathering data. Mainly, it includes two type of sampling technique including probabilistic
and non-probabilistic sampling. Probabilistic technique would be used by investigator to choose a
right sample size as per random basis. As it also provides equal chance to be selected for providing
authentic information. By using this method, researcher select 50 respondents who are the
employees of company and also having enough knowledge about talent management strategies
and its impact over the organizational success.
