INTRODUCTION
The main aim of conducting this research report is to explore an understanding of key
challenges and obstacles in talent management within organisation that impact manufacturing
company. In an organisation employees are an asset that contributes in success of a company
related to goals and objectives. Talent management is a procedure of attracting and retaining
talented employees so that productivity and proficiency of business is enhanced. In this
management need to focus on conducting a research and draw valid solution and conclusion so
that better decisions are to be taken for employee’s betterment (Taylor, 2018). This whole
assignment is based on Rolls Royce that is a leading British luxury car and aero engine
manufacturing company founded in 1904. The company build their high market position by
hiring superior engineering for providing best car in the world. In this, company focused on
gaining high market position with the help of skilled and talented workforce. Therefore, it is
highly important to retain talented workforce within organisation for a longer period of time.
This project study aims and objectives including project management plan. It also involves
research methodology and data analysis to draw recommendation and conclusion this helps in
presenting reflection at the end of whole research work.

P1 Devise aims and objectives of chosen organisation
Overview of research- This research is conduct on Talent management for attaining
business objectives and aims in an efficient manner. In case of Rolls Royce, management is
mainly focused on talent management practices to maintain and retain talent within company in a
significant manner (Muratbekova‐Touron, Kabalina and Festing, 2018). In this, talent
management strategy helps in improving plan for globally expansion so that objectives are meet
successfully. To manage performance of employees, talent management strategies are to be
implemented to retain workers and reflecting productivity in positive way. The topic of
conducting research is the key challenges and obstacles that are facing by several business
sectors in relation to talent management. On this suggestion is to be provided so that talent

management issues are to be resolved for dealing with market complexities in proficient way.
The purpose of undertaking this research is to examine challenges and obstacles in talent
management that impact manufacturing company productivity. This project helps in enhancing
skills and knowledge related to talent management that helps in increasing career growth.
Project management defines as an ongoing process that is reflected as an effective
structure for accomplishing repetitive activities so that objectives are attained on time. Project
management have several stages such as initiation, planning, execution, performance control and
closure of a project. The main advantage of this process is that it reflected systematic work due
to which goals are attained on time. At the same time it is very time consuming process that is
way researcher follow every stage in precise manner while completing the project.

manufacturing sector there is a need of skilled and talented workforce and for talent management
it seems to a biggest challenge to retain and attracts workforce by fulfilling their demands.

manufacturing sector
According to a viewpoint of Jarie Bolander, (2021), there are several strategies on which
management of manufacturing sector in business should be focused to remove obstacles and
challenges related to talent management. These obstacles and challenges are lack of competitive
wages, unhygienic working place, difficulty in getting talented candidate to perform a role in
manufacturing sector etc. To overcome these manufacturing company focus on Finding the right
talent by developing relations with trade schools so that talent pipeline is to be build strongly.
Clear about requirements of particular job role, culture and benefits so that talented workforce
are retained and attracted towards an organisation. In this companies also emphasis on
eliminating common incidents at workplace by using advanced technologies such as virtual
reality, 360 degree etc. So that talented workforce being retained working place.

objectives properly for which it started to study. A project management is a procedure that helps

a particular project is start and finish in an appropriate manner. In this several phases are

several components are necessary for conducting a research properly that are presented below:
Time- Time refers to a vital aspect that is needed to attain the project objectives properly
in set time frame. In this setting timelines are useful to avoid delays and misunderstanding
properly (Crane and Hartwell, 2019). A researcher set a time for completing project that helps in
avoiding risk and uncertainties within a study. The time for this research is around 1 month and
in this investigator assures that all activities are completed within a time period of 1 month.
Cost- This reflected as expenses that are going too rose at the time of doing research. In
this researcher focused that all activities are done optimally so that whole project is completed in
smooth way. The budget for conducting this research is around £700 so that it can be done
appropriately.
Quality- It is considered as a main factor within research because it defines the validity
and reliability of conducting research. It is highly essential for a research to ensures quality in
collecting data and presenting recommendation so that project is being done successfully.

involved in project used optimally present a successful results within given time frame.

documentation, interpretation to gather and collect data for reaching a viable conclusion. It helps
in attaining objectives properly. This research needs in depth analysis related to specific topic so
that research objectives are to be meeting successfully. Effective and efficient research helps in
attaining project properly and in this researcher focused on two methods that are elaborated
below:
Qualitative Research- This research is presented in a non numerical manner. It is based
on collection of ideas, thoughts of an individual person in words. In this researcher
focused on collecting ideas of a person so that several respondents’ ideas are analysed
(Vaiman and et. al., 2018). In these open ended questions, observations are to be used.
Quantitative Research- This research is reflected in numerical terms. As it is expressed
in numbers where researcher adopts statistical and mathematical techniques. In this close

ended questions are to be adopted (Anlesinya, Dartey-Baah and Amponsah-Tawiah,
2019).
To conduct a research, researcher adopts quantitative research by using questionnaire
method. Questionnaire is an effective method as it helps in directly connects with respondents so

Data collection refers to a process of collecting data for getting useful information that are
related to a particular topic. It includes two types of data collection such as primary and
secondary data collection.
