Talent management is refers to the process of managing, directing and controlling the
practices of employees for ensuring better management of available talent. It plays a crucial role
within forming up a better organisational culture that support employees to perform well and
achieve best possible outcome toward the organisational objectives (Al Ariss, Cascio and
Paauwe, 2014). This is so because by effective managing and retaining the best talent of an
organisation, it become easier to brining new or innovative ideas toward improving the
performance of the organisation. For performing this study effectively, Sheraton hotel will be
taken into consideration which is a larger multinational hotel that provide accommodation related
services throughout several countries.

Overview of topic:-
Talent management is a part of an Human Resource Management process of recruiting,
appraising, transferring, to identifies the high potential employees which are valuable to the
organization, talent management is the scientific use of strategic human resource planning to
improvised the business value and to make it possible to the company by that they can reach to
their goals (Mihalcea, 2017). There is a positive influence of talent management in hospitality
industry where it brings the change in work cultural through strategical planning such as
employee retention, performance appraisal, employee engagement etc. Similarly, Sheraton
Hotels having a practises of talent management which makes this hotel very effective and
Porsche, employees gets opportunities through training and development to flourish their skills.

visit a particular hotel. Therefore, it become crucial for an organization to manage talent
appropriately by providing regular training and guidance in term of managing customers issues
and way of delivering more effective services to them fro better satisfaction.

Research methodology is defined as that part of a study which explains about tools and
techniques that are used for performing an investigation (Scotland, 2012). It support in directing
the investigator regarding the actions that must be performed for completing a research. The
methods that can be used for performing the study are presented below:
Research design:- The design of a study places a significant role over its final outcome
as it decide the direction in which it is to be presented. There are three type of research design
such as descriptive, exploratory and experimental. Among them descriptive research design will
be used as it help in performing proper identification and explanation of investigation.
Research philosophy- Interpretivism and positivism are two basic approaches that are
used within an investigation. As the current research is performed using quantitative methods,
positivism philosophy will be used which support in imposing the knowledge appropriately
while presenting the collected information and analysing them effectively.
Type of investigation:- The investigation can be performed in either Qualitative or
quantitative manner. In this study data will be gathered using quantitative type of investigation
which help in gathering the information in numerical fact and figures for ensuring the accuracy
of data, so that best possible outcome can be provided (Silverman, 2016).
Research approach: For conducting a research effectively two type of approaches used
such as inductive and deductive. From these two, deductive approach is used to perform this

study as it support in analysing the quantified data effectively for extracting best possible
outcome.
Research strategy- For performing a study number of strategies are mainly used which
includes case study, questionnaire, survey, observation etc. In this investigation questionnaire is
used as a tool for gathering information which support in collecting view point of several people

journals, articles etc. The reason behind selecting both method is that secondary information will
support in creating base by developing an understanding regarding nature of study over which
primary information can be proceed to get better outcome.

Sampling- It is about selecting a group for gathering information on behalf of whole
population. Sampling is done by using ether probabilistic or non-probabilistic method. For this
study probabilistic methods will be used where sample size is 10 managers (Walliman, 2017).
The main aim behind selecting probabilistic approach is that it support in avoiding bias
behaviour by providing equal chance to each aspirant so that most appropriate outcome can be
achieved.
Reliability and validity of study- In order to maintain the validity and reliability within
