P2 Appropriate research methods and approaches to primary and secondary research
Research methodology is the technique or procedure that is to be used for collection of
information. The main purpose is to support the investigator in process of collecting appropriate
information related to the study. There are diverse types of research methodologies that can

Research approach is the process to evaluate the collected information in effective manner. This
approach is divided in two types that includes inductive & deductive approach.
Inductive approach: It is helping investigator in process of development of theory and not
accepting already established theory (Meng and Berger, 2018). This approach is generally used
when the researcher is willing to evaluate secondary sources of information for analyzing the
qualitative information.
Deductive approach: It is useful for evaluation of quantitative or numerical information.
Both the approaches are effective in present report deductive approach will be used. It will assist
in evaluation of quantitative and primary information that is together in the current research
report. In addition to this, it also help investigator to gain information concerning the topic which
leads to development of reliable conclusion in a timely and proper manner.
Research Strategy:
There are diverse types of study strategies that can be adopted in a research work. It include
survey strategy, action research, case study method. All are very helpful in the process of
collection of information (Cappelli and Keller, 2017). In the present research work there will be
use of survey strategy that is based on adoption of questionnaire in order to have sufficient
information base.
Research Tools;
There are different data collection method that have to be used by researcher for the purpose of
having sufficient information (Lawler, 2017). There are two basic method that includes primary
data collection method & secondary data collection method.
Primary data collection method: It is regarded as the method in which first hand information will
be used by researcher.
Secondary data collection method: In this method the information is focused on using of data
from published sources (Turner, 2017). It interlude information that already exists that is

other hand, the view point of various authors is undertaken as it assists to know about research
topic from different people and draw reliable and effective conclusion.
Sampling;
Sampling is regarded as the process of selecting specific sample from the whole target segment

Cost: It is important for researcher that each of the activity in research work is timely and
properly conducted, for this purpose there will be need of 1400 pounds,. This amount will be
needed for completion of research work in systematic manner.
