Background

world. Proper management of talent gives opportunity to a company for gaining profit margins
and positive outcomes in market place. Currently talent management has enabled different
organisations for achieving a very talent and skilled workforce (Baker and Kelan, 2017).
Basically, most businesses in market takes different steps towards developing such technique and
strategies which can promote talent management in workplace. This research project is
completely about the impact of talent management on different organisation. Literature review
also has been included in this report for showing the effectiveness of managing talent
management. Different data collection methods have been used here for collecting data through
various sources to complete this existing research report in proper manner.
Rationale
The talent management topic is very important to be discussed, so that this existing
research report is completely based on the impact of talent management on an organisation. Top-
level management of each and every venture have to use adopt and implement different
strategies for systematically managing talent of employees in its workplace. Currently Google
LLC is very big technology company which is able to provide the best internet services in across
the world, and has workforce of 114,101 employees. So that, talent management is very
necessary task to this American company as well (Pauli and Pocztowski, 2019). Nowadays, this
venture is on the top of internet industry, and the proper talent management is one of main
reasons behind is high reputation in market. No business can survive in market place without
managing talent of its workers and employees, because employees are main resource to an
organisation who worked very hard to achieve organisation’s final target on time. This is the
main reason that, the topic of talent management is very necessary to be discussed through this
research project. Research enables to access such data and information which can make our
existing factors relating to business much better.

Aim:
To analyse the role of leaders and line managers in ‘employee development and well-
being’ through talent management. A case study of Google LLC.
Objectives:
To know that leaders and line manager promotes talent management in workplace or not.
To analyse how the talent management influence performance and productivity of
employees in workplace.
For knowing about different challenges and barriers of talent management.
To identify various productive strategies of talent management to an organisation.
For analysing the impact of employee development and well-being on the all over growth
of an organisation.

Project management plan
Project Management Plan
A project management plan has always included different important aspects of the
research project, like; cost, scope, time duration, quality, communication, risk and required
resources. No project can be completed without considering these different aspects (Amankwah
Amoah, 2020). This project management plan has provided a specific framework to complete
various activities of research on time with effective productivity.
Cost: Cost always plays an excellent role in a project work, because by suing the cost or an

appropriate budget, all activities of research project will be simply conducted. In the present
research project, there was the cost of £5250 required to collect data in proper manner. By using
this amount or cost, all necessary activities of project were conducted productively. On the other
side, there was additional cost of £89,500 required to employ all finding and outcomes of
research project in the daily operations of Google LLC.
Scope: Scope of this research project was really too large, because there was required to visit lots
of different places to collect appropriate data. Many books and journals, articles and newspapers
were collected by visiting many locations. There was required to visit headquarter of Google
company also to take interview of different employees of this company for knowing their
opinions on the talent management.
Time: The time period of total 6 weeks was required to complete this research on the topic of
talent management. On the other hand, there are one year will be required to successfully
implement different changes relating to talent management within the organisation.
Quality: Quality control while data collection is one of major tasks in this work, so that thematic
data analysis method has been used for maintaining effective quality in collected data. Basically,
quality control activity contributes in providing accurate data on any topic (Rodríguez-Sánchez
and et.al., 2020). So that, by considering quality aspect, there are lots of accurate, meaningful
and logical data has been collected.
Communication: Proper communication skills are highly required for completing a research
project in decided time period. By using well-developed skills of communication, different data
from different sources has been successfully collected (Wilcox, 2016). Basically, communication
has helped in interacting with employees of Google in the interview session.
Risk: This was the prime responsibility while completing this work that, systematically dealing
with different risk factors. For example; There was risk of time period exceeded, fear of stolen of
collected data is another risk, etc. are some major risk factors in this research work. However, all
these factors of risk were successfully handled during data collection process.
Resources: Searching, adopting and using appropriate resources is very necessary task to a
researcher, so that there were many effective resources chosen for collecting data on the talent
management. In this project work, mainly internet, books & journals, an assistant, vehicles,
articles, blogs, informative videos and newspapers was played an excellent role in collecting
appropriate data.

According Rutledge and et.al. (2016) to talent management plays an excellent role in
positively influencing skills, talent and areas of knowledge of employees and workers. This is the

productive steps towards talent management. This is very beneficial to a company or a business
in the terms of gaining an effective workforce in this dynamic world. After managing talent of
employees, most companies are gaining huge competitive advantage in workplace. Basically,
talent management function promotes a skilled and talented workforce in a workplace, so that
after having very talented and skilled employees, an organisation can simply take very
productive work from them. Talent management contributes in improving all over growth of
organisation as well.
Theme2: Kay challenges and barriers in the talent management
As illustrated by Kasemsap (2017) there are always many factors and aspects exist within
the business environment of an organisation which can negatively affect to the process of talent

method helps in collecting data through interview, meetings, observation, books & journals,
articles and newspapers. There is qualitive method of research is also very helpful to different
people for completing a research project work, because this method has enabled in numbers and
statistics. However, qualitative project work used here, because this has played an excellent role
in gaining data through organisation’s employees.
Research Philosophy
Interpretivism and positivism are two key philosophies, in which philosophy of
interpretivism has been used in existing research work. The main reason behind choosing this
philosophy is that, it contributes in studying social world and behaviours of people (Mohammed,
Baig and Gururajan, 2020). Philosophy of positivism is also very helpful in the analysis of
different facts, observations, etc. but this has not adopted for completing this project work.
Research Design
Inductive, deductive and abdicative, these are key designs of research, in which the
inductive design of research has been used for completing this research project work. Basically,
this design contributes in maintaining accuracy in the collected data.

Random sampling method has been used in this project, because it was helped in taking
interview of 10 random workers and employees of Google LLC. In this interview sessions, a
questions was used to ask some necessary questions which has based on the talent management.
However, other both methods of sampling are also very productive.
Data Collection
Primary data collection and secondary data collection are two main method under the
qualitative research methodology, so that these all methods of data collection were completely
used in the present project work. Basically, primary method has helped in gaining data through
interviews and observations (Berger, Berger and Education, 2018). Then, the secondary data
collection method has helped in collecting data from books & journals, articles and blogs etc.
Data Analysis
For analysing collected data which was collected through questionnaire, there are
statistical and thematic two very effective methods available, but only thematic method of data
analysis has used while completing this work. Basically, this method has supported for analysing
data by diving data into themes which has based on questions of the questionnaire. This method
is really helpful to present work, because different themes provides accurate, productive and
informative data.
Ethical Considerations
All ethics and legal considerations relating to research project has fully considered during
the execution of different research activities. For example; not forced to any worker or employee
of Google for giving opinions on asked questions of questionnaire (Nzonzo and du Plessis,
2020). There are proper references has been attached below for giving credit to all authors of
books and journals, articles and magazines.
