1.3 Literature review
According to Noe and et.al., (2017) talent management is the one of the main problem that
firms face in their business. It is very hard to retain employees in the business because they are
now more demanding then before. Talent management happened because of multiple reasons
like payment of low salary etc. Employees when do not feel that pay is given to them according
to their requirement or job work they leave their job from workplace.
Contrary to this Sparrow and Makram, (2015) state that even fair salary is given to the
employees they do not work properly because of laborious work or low interest in job. If one is
not interested in job then in that case even it is paid high it will not work well.
As per views of Davis and et.al., (2016) working conditions play crucial role in the talent
management. This is because if working condition is good then in that case even right amount of
salary not offered people work for long time on the project.
Opposite to this Thunnissen, (2016) state that working conditions are good but then also
many time employees do not work properly because they do not find work interesting. Many
time working condition is good but there are certain requirements of the business model and
because of that employees have to do high work which lead to low retention rate at workplace.
1.4 Research methodology
Research type: There are two sort of research primary and secondary. In present research study
both studies are conducted. Primary research will be done and in this regard to relevant people
questionnaire will be distributed and results will be obtained (Mackey and Gass., 2015). On other
hand, in case of secondary research literature review will be done in the research study.
Research design: There are three types of research design namely exploratory, experimental and
descriptive research design. Exploratory research design will be used in the research study
because by doing so in detail research work will be carried out. From scratch broad
understanding will be developed about research topic.
Research approach: There are two sort of research approach namely inductive and deductive. In
inductive approach in detail data is analysed and on basis of results theory is developed (Kumar,
2019). On other hand, in case of deductive approach already there is a theory and it is tested in
terms of existence.

Research philosophy: Research philosophy are of two types namely interpretivism philosophy
and positivism philosophy. Interpretivism philosophy is one used when research work is not
scientific in nature. Positivism is used in case research carried out is completely scientific. In
present case interpretivism is used because research work is not technical in nature.
Sampling: Sample of 30 individual will be taken that are working in the any company that is
operating in the Thomas cook. Random sampling method will be used in the present research
study because in this on random basis sample units will be picked from the population (Bresler
and Stake, 2017).
Data collection: Data will be gathered from the secondary sources and primary sources. In order
to ensure that there is strong knowledge of the past events secondary research will be carried out.
On other hand, as said above that primary data will be gathered from the 30 respondents. Thus,
in this way entire data is collected.
Data analysis: In order to analyse data there are multiple methods that can be used by the
business firms. Thematic analysis approach is used when quantitative research is carried out
(Silverman, 2016). On other hand, SPSS like tools are used in case when quantitative research is
carried out. In present case questionnaire results will be analysed and due to this reason thematic
analysis approach will be used in the research study.
Limitation of research: Main limitation of the research is that sample size is small and due to
this reason if same research will be carried out with large sample then in that case results may be
different. However, it is ensured that right individual is taken as candidate in the research work.
Hence, in this way limitation of research will be removed.
Ethical consideration: It will be ensured that unknown person or unauthorized individual do not
have access to the data saved in google drive. In this way data related to people will be kept safe.
