INTRODUCTION
A project management plan is based on the formal document that defines how an entire
project is going to be carried out. This is the best way to identify the scope, goals, budget, time
and deliverables of research project and it’s essential for keeping a project on track (Papke-
Shields and Boyer-Wright, 2017). That’s why, it is important to follow a proper project
sequential process while reaching a better conclusion or solution.
In the research project, the involvement of project management plan is basically supports
to generate a proper result or outcome. But it is important to be achieved targets. Project
management plan is not only given a brief idea, assumption and belief but at certain point, it
ensuring the importance of project in future scope. This is helpful for researcher to measure and
communicate effectively or efficiently.

P2: Project management plan
It refers to a plan that entitles various steps and strategies which are needed to be considered
and followed while performing project management. It will provide guideline and framework
that will lead to have systematic consideration over various aspects (Radujković and Sjekavica,
2017).
Cost – the project cost is basically defined a total funds as needed to complete the entire
project approximately $12,000. Project manager can be estimated or calculated on the
basis of overall project baseline. The overall cost can be divided into small pieces
because it should be considered all essential needs, who have required some kind of
investment (Papke-Shields and Boyer-Wright, 2017). In this way, it is important for
project manager to estimate the price or cost before conducting a research project.
Scope – The primary scope of research project is to improve the understanding of talent
management in context of recruitment and retention. In this way, it has been identified
the advantage, benefits in the workplace level. This project will provide brief idea where
how can be used talent management approach and keep record its impact on the
organisational level (Lock, 2020). Moreover, The project scope is mainly depended on
the certain parameter such as “what are demands of topic”. in this way, it has been
developed curiosity of researcher to understand the concept in proper manner.
Time – in research project, project manager is mainly referred to the components of
entire process in which analysed the proper time-line and then completion of project. the
overall project should be completed within 30 days.
Quality – in project quality, it ensures that uses a proper policies, objectives and
responsibilities by researcher. So as, it will be satisfied the needs for which it was
completely undertaken (Lock, 2020). Usually, it should consider some quality of project
such as authenticate data from particular sources.
Risk – at the time of research analysis, there are different kind of risk, threat identified
such as failure or system, lack of equipment, a poor financial performance etc. these are
considered the different risks which have been already measured by project management
during research analysis (Papke-Shields and Boyer-Wright, 2017).
Resources – in research project, there are some common resources used in the study. It
comes from experiences such as print media, books, journals, articles, newspaper, and

It refers to a chart that shows the details regarding the various steps of plan performance.
This means that with the help of Gantt chart various steps of the research plan are determined

aspect with regard to talent management. As recruitment enable the company to bring adequate
talent within the organization while retention practices enable the organization to retain and
restrain the talent. This means that in order to implement talent management an execution of
these aspects are very essential. Likewise, it is also a fact to be consider that if adequate and
talented employees will not be hired and grabbed by organization then it will not be able to
enhance its performance. In the same order without adequate retention of existing talent an
organization may loose its efficiency so presence of adequate balance between these aspects is
very essential in order to garb success by firm.
Impact of talent management:
Shafique and Zia-ur-Rehman (2021) elucidates that the talent management puts a major
impact over the organization in terms of enhancing its operation and performance. Talent
management enable the organization to enable competitive advantage. With this concept the
organization can raise its efficiency in terms of beating the market competition. This concept
also assist the organization to grab its objectives. an implication of talent management has direct
impact over firm’s performance and as a result its sales and revenue also raise with better work
performance.
Challenges related with implication of talent management:
Tafti, Mahmoudsalehi and Amiri (2017) states that there are various challenges that an
organization can face with respect to its implication. The major challenges include is the lack of
leadership and high demand of compensation. Without adequate directive leadership employees

It refers to a process that includes certain steps and concepts which is being used and
adopted for executing research with respect to certain concept. Its elements are:
Research type:
It refers to the type of research which is being carried out with respect to the research
project. it is generally categorised as qualitative and quantitative research. Quantitative research
refers to that research in which an analysis of the numerical and statistical data is performed.
Only determined facts and figures are used in this research. However, in case of qualitative
research, only theoretical data is used for analysis and there is no use of numerical facts and
figures (Aspers and Corte, 2019). With respect to this research qualitative type is chosen so that
better justification regarding the topic will be presented.
Research approach:
It refers to the plans and strategies that are being adopted for carrying out research. It is
also of two types including inductive and deductive. Inductive research refers to that research
that begin with analysis of the research question which is followed by collection of relevant data
and formation of hypothesis. This will ultimately lead to the generation of theory (Woiceshyn
and Daellenbach, 2018). However, in case of deductive approach, research begins with the
analysis of existing theories and which will lead to formation of hypothesis. This will further
guide to data collection and analysis. With regard to this research an inductive approach is
chosen so that qualitative research will be more deeply executed and desired outcome will
produce.
Research philosophy:
It includes and means the belief of researcher regarding a specific pgenomenon and
aspect, it is of two types including interpretivism and positivism. Researcher plays a major role
in terms of deriving and interpreting its perspective with regard to research in case of
interpretivism (Alharahsheh and Pius, 2020). However, in case of positivism, only those objects
and events will be considered which can be experienced scientifically. Here researcher simply

because it will lead to have better finding and justification with respect to research.
Data collection:
It is one of the major aspect with regard to research methodology. Under this aspect data
is gathered and collected majorly from two sources i.e. primary and secondary. Primary sources
are known as first hand sources because data is directly gathered from main source and it is the
most valid and true form of data collection. Whereas secondary sources are those under which
data regarding the research is already researched and collected. This are readily available and
less costly (Ruggiano and Perry, 2019). Under this research a combination of primary and
secondary sources will be used so that more detailed analysis regarding the research will be
carried out. it is also to be noted that the primary data can be collected from many ways
including interviews, survey, questionnaire and many more. But in case of this research
questionnaire will be use that may contain several question regarding the research.
Sampling:
It is also an important element of research wherein sample from the population is chosen
and analysed. Sample refers to that group of people which shows the same characteristics and
qualities that are possessed by entire population (Etikan and Bala, 2017). Sample can be gathered
by many ways including simple random, stratified, clustered and many more. With respect to this
research simple random sampling will be chosen under which equal and fair chances of selection
will be given to every individual. A sample of 20 employees will be used in this research.
Data analysis:
As per this aspect collected data regarding the research is analysed and interpreted. It is
an important aspect with regard to research. There are majorly tow modes of data analysis
including SPSS and thematic test. SPSS are generally used to analyse quantitative data which
include the use of software (Ong and Puteh, 2017). However, in case of thematic test various
themes regarding the research are made and then its systematic analysis is performed. Under this
research thematic test will be used and implemented in order to analyse qualitative data.
Ethics:
Ethics and its considerations are the important part of the research. This is because it
enables the research to be valid. Ethics are the moral values and principles which every
researcher need to consider while carrying out research (Resnik, 2018). This means that it is very

important that the research will not hurt any moral values of the society. With regard to this
research ethical consideration are followed in terms of getting consent of the respondent by
signing them ethical forms.
Reliability and validity:
It is also important the research must be valid and reliable unless there will be of no with
of research. This means that the researcher need to consider and adopt every practice that will
lead to making the research valid and authenticated. In order to make this research valid only
copyright information and articles are used. Likewise, views of authenticated and well reputed
authors are included. Primary research is also included in order to raise authenticity of research.

Data Analysis is based on the process or method of reviewing data through some kind pre-
define process which will help to assign a specific meaning of data. It involves taking some of
essential result in regards of data analysis, which make inference in relation studies.
In this section, it has been developed as different questions by using a questionnaires
technique. In this way, it can easily identify the different kind of responses through respondents.
This can help to keep record information or data in proper manner.

From above chart, it has been summarised about the concept of recruitment and retention
process that help for improving the organisational performance and efficiency. It has been
focused on the statement, where identifying the opinion or view point of targeted respondents.
On the basis of analysis, it has found that 7 respondents are highly agree, 4 respondents are
agreed, 3 respondents are highly disagree and 6 respondents are disagreed. Thus, it has been
examined that maximum respondents agree with process of recruitment and retention process
which is mainly used by HR in Sainsbury’s.
