Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why? What your
areas of research will cover:
Research methodology refers to a vital part of research because it helps researcher to present the
detail related to set of techniques and methods which are used to complete the research
appropriately (Anlesinya, A., Dartey-Baah, K. and Amponsah-Tawiah, K., 2019). For
completing this research, investigator decides to use the quantitative data of investigation so that
effective data is to be gathered in an accurate manner. To complete this research the researcher
used two sources that are primary and secondary research. Where primary research includes the
use of questionnaire in which data is to be collected by taking a sample from group of people.
For sampling probability approach is to be used where around 30 managers of Tesco are selected
on a random basis (Bratton, J. and Watson, S., 2018). On the other hand, secondary data includes
collection of data by using books, journals, scholars etc.
Evaluate different research approaches and methodology and make justifications for the
Choice of methods selected based on philosophical/ theoretical frameworks.
From above proposal it is evaluated that researcher adopts the quantitative data approach to
complete this research that is beneficial because it gives accurate data of the findings also
consumes less time. In this investigator also use primary and secondary so that data and
information about specific topic are to be gathered effectively by using questionnaire method,
books, journals etc. that gives proficient result to objectives of research.
By above analysis it is critically evaluated that researcher adopts the quantitative research
method to conduct this research because it gives appropriate answers to the research questions.

At the same time it is time consuming process because research collect information from several
respondents. In this primary and secondary research process are to be adopted that helps in
reflecting valid conclusion at the end of research.
