Talent management is a vital concept that includes hiring, developing and retaining of
talented employees. In today’s competitive world talent management has become more vital to
have a more competent and skilled workforce (Cui, Khan and Tarba, 2018). Therefore current
investigation is conducted in Tesco which is multinational retailer to evaluate about the
significance of talent management in enhancing the performance of employees in workplace.

overall enhanced business performance and success. Apart from this, adoption of current
research topic is also important from personal and academic view point of researcher which
ensures effective skills development and better knowledge?

To determine the significance of talent management in company.
As per the viewpoint of Crane, B. and Hartwell, C.J., 2019, Talent management refers to
the management of human resource. It includes hire, mange, develop and retain the talented and
skilled employees in the organization in order to gain more profit and effective productivity.
Talent management plays important role in the business its mange the most important asset of
the organization. Every company should make an effort to management of employees in their
organization because the employees of the company help the organization to be more successful
in the industry and make in positive impact on the productivity of the business. Applying top
management strategies for the talent management helps the organization to have the opportunity
to attract most talented employees in the company and make good relationship with them for the
long term period of time.
To retain talented employees in the firm they should give proper training and guidance to
the employees. The staff of company feels more connected when they get proper guidance and
motivation form their mentors and team leaders. 90 percent employee agrees that they just not
want money from the organization but they also needs motivation and encouragement for feel
more engaged and connected to the company (Polonsky and Waller, 2018). Talent management
also helps in development of performance of the company in most effective way y the best
employee performance in the company that help them to increase the level of productivity and
staff performance. Thus, the talent management helps the organization to get more growth and
retain the skilled and capable employees in the firm.

management that helps the organisation and long-term success and returning higher skilled
employees. It helps the organisation to increase its performance by giving extra efforts to the
work and make it effective in the form. Talent management suggests that the growth of the
organization is depends upon the performance of their employees and staff. It also suggests that
the employees on the company should get train in period of time so that company can get
benefits from it. Organization should motivate and retain the employees so that their
performance can get better and employees also feel satisfy with their jobs.
Talent management helps the organization to make an perfect strategy to attract top most
talents in the organization so they can give their efforts in the growth of the company and feel
motivated towards the better performance. Talented and skilled employees work hard to use their
skills in most effective way. Thus, talent management also helps in better performance of
employees in the company and make the effective growth of the company (Singh, 2019).

environment. it is very important from the company to understand the needs and wants of the
employees working in the organization.
Organization should make their work environment positive in order to mange talented
and skilled employees in the organization. So the employees working in the company can stay
for the long term. Healthy work environment encourage the employees of the organization in
better performance and effective growth of the organization. Thus, talent management strategies
help the company in effective management of the resources of the organization (Zientara and
Zamojska, 2018).
Research methodology
Research methodology forms a vital part of every research project which facilitates
information about various set research methods and techniques that could be used by a researcher
to conduct an investigation in more effective way.
Research philosophy- The two main types of research philosophy comprises of positivism
and interpretivism, out if which use of Positivism research philosophy is more suitable and
justifiable for current investigation as it facilitates a more scientific and practical way for
collection and presentation of data.
Research approach - Out of deductive and inductive research approach utilization of
deductive research approach is more appropriate for current investigation as it lead to a more
logical process for conducting a research along with facilitates multiple assumptions and belief
to reach a specific conclusion from research findings (Meyers, 2020).
Research method – There are two main form of research method i.e. quantitative and
qualitative research method from which Quantitative research method emphasis on collection of
research data in form of numerical terms where as qualitative research method ensure collection
of in-depth data about the behaviour and attitudes of respondents which is quite complex.
Therefore, implication of quantitative research method is made for current investigation to lead

better presentation of collected facts to ensure more specific and measurable set of results
(Gupta, 2019).
Data collection- in order to maintain the authenticity of collected data use of secondary as
well as primary sources of data is made that facilitates first hand data together with support from
past findings. Collection of primary data would be made with the help of below stated
questionnaire where as secondary data collected with the help past online facts and article.
A sample size of 30 respondents is selected for this research from the employees of
Tesco with the help of random sampling.

The main ethical issue for current investigation is associated with maintaining the privacy
and safety of collected data, thus implication of data protection act is made while conducting
current investigation. Apart from this, implication of BERA code of ethics is also made to ensure
proper compliance of ethical consideration along with taking a written consent from all selected
participants to overcome and eliminate all possible ethical risk and issues while leading out
current investigation on Tesco.
