The main reason for the purpose of selecting the topic related to analysis of effective talent
management strategies is to evaluate the way organisations are becoming successful with the help
of the overall workforce. Many successful organisations are working towards managing their
talent in such a manner that is helping them in motivating and engaging their workforce. Search
highly motivated workforce is one of the major factors associated with success of these
organisations. So, the main aim of selecting this research topic is to analyse such strategies.

As per views of Ghosh, 2020 talent management is the methodological e defined process that is related
with getting the right talent on board. It is a process that involves identification of talent gaps across
various vacant positions so that there can be sourcing of suitable candidates. Executive and human
resource managers are working together for effective development of talent management strategies in
successful organisations. With the changing external environment organisations are focusing on locating
and recruiting of highly competitive employees. Talent management strategies are basically part of these
efforts of organisation to develop a high-performing workforce. This process is related with development
of a system which is identifying and for the improving the weak areas in terms of attracting developing
and then at last retaining of diversified talent.
As per view of Ansari (2020), there are some of the simple talent management strategies that are adopted
by successful organisations. It includes understanding the power of job descriptions in this there are
specifications related to duties title necessary skills and working relationships. Another strategy is related
to assessment of candidate according to the cultural fit. In relation with TESCP, being a large
organisation the human resource managers are working towards proper coaching and mentoring facilities
that are provided to increase the employee engagement. Another talent management strategy that is used
by Tesco is providing continuous training and development opportunities to develop the potential of
employees. Timely development of rewards and recognition also plays a vital part in maintenance of a
competent workforce. Further cultivating a honest career path is one of the most crucial aspects to create
a highly engaged workforce of employees according to their potential level.

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why?
What your areas of research will cover:
Research philosophy: it is related to the set of actions that are part of present research report used for
the purpose of collecting analysing and interpretation of data. There are two research philosophies that are
positivism and interpretivism. In the present research report there will be use of positivism as the research
philosophy.
Research approach: It associated with using a particular research approach that can be of two types’
deductive approach and inductive approach. In case of present research report there will be use of
inductive approach that is for the purpose of analysing the qualitative aspect of information.
Research strategy: It is related with the process of collecting data by application of various research
strategies that include action research experimental research interviews surveys and different such related
methods. Increase of present research report there is use of questionnaire for the purpose of analysing the
viewpoints of different respondents.
Research choice: It is one of the methods that can be qualitative or quantitative according to the purpose
of gathering information. Qualitative research method is related with the non numerical form of
information. Quantitative research method is associated with use of numerical information. In present
research report there is use of qualitative information for the purpose of evaluating the viewpoints of
various respondents according to the provided research topic.
Sampling: It is the process of selecting sample from the whole population for the purpose of conducting
the present research. In present research report there is use of 40 respondents for the purpose of
conducting the survey based on use of questionnaire as the method to analyse the viewpoints of
respondents. For this purpose there is use of non probability sampling method.
Data collection: It is a method of collecting data by use of primary method or secondary method. There

are different methods that can be used according to the researcher. Presently there is use of both primary
and secondary analysis. In case of primary method the information is collected by use of questionnaire
and in case of secondary method there is use of literature review. For the purpose of reaching to relevant
conclusions.
Research instruments: There are various different types of research instrument method that includes
interviews questionnaires and surveys. To be analysed according to the requirement of particular set
topic. In case of present search report questionnaire will be used as a method to collect the reliable
information based on questions developed by the researcher.
