P3 Primary & secondary research.
Research methodology is defined as process that is used by investigators while
conducting any research. These are helpful in defining what is the proper plan of executing all
activities and tasks of research. This include rules and regulations followed while implementing
research. The research methodology of this research is described below -
Type of investigation:- There are two types of investigation that are followed by
investigator while attaining aim of the research – qualitative and quantitative method. In the
qualitative investigation, the main focus is on obtaining data by selecting open ended questions.
This type of research is designed effectively for revealing the perception and behaviour of target
audience (Esposito, 2016). This type of research is mainly used when there is need of more
descriptive and communicative analysis. On the other hand, quantitative method is one in which
information analysis of data is done using numerical values. The type of research method used in
the present research is qualitative.
Research approach: Basically, there are two types of research approaches and these are
used in conducting various researches like deductive or inductive. It is essential to have good
and effective approach for attaining research aim and objective in less time. The research
approach is a procedure which includes various steps like data collection, analysis and
interpretation.
Research philosophy- This consists of beliefs, value and ethics adopted while conducting
research. There are basically two types of research philosophies like positivism and
interpretivisim. In present research, the philosophy used is interpretivisim.
Research strategy- While doing this research, questionnaire is used for collecting data
and there are lot of questions included which are related to issues of Sheraton Hotel.
Data collection- This includes different ways by which data can be collected for making
interpretations of research. Use of questionnaire is made to collect data from primary sources
while secondary data is collected from online publications, articles and journals (Prada-Ramallal,
Takkouche and Figueiras, 2017). In present research, the method used is questionnaire as well
as secondary data like articles, online reviews, websites, etc.

Sampling – Sampling is the process related to selection of given number of measurement
from a wide population for effective research. There are two type of Sampling such as non
probability and Probability. The researcher use Probabilistic sampling method for reducing the
bias behaviour in investigation which provides equal opportunities of selection from given
observation. A sample size of 30 employees is taken by Sheraton hotel in a given research report
(Schmidt and et. al., 2015).
Instrument of data collection: There are different methods that can be used for
collecting the data such as observation, schedule, interview and questionnaire etc. The use of
questionnaire method is most efficient and effective method for collecting the data from
respondent. It provides series and combination of question for collecting data directly from
respondent on the particular topic.
Reliability and Validity of study: The primary source of data collection is used for
collecting data in order to maintain credibility and reliability of research. It emphasised on
collecting reliable as well as genuine data directly from the respondent for maintaining
credibility of data of whole research.
Cost, access and ethical issues: This research is linked with ethical as well as financial
aspect of research. A researcher need adequate amount of fund for collection of effective and
efficient data through different methods of primary research. In assistance of this, the
questionnaire method is used for collecting data and information directly from the respondent.
Apart from this, the ethical issues arises in order to operate its different research activities in
such a manner that does not hurt the emotions of the individuals (Latukha, 2015). Also follow all
ethical morals to maintain the credibility and validity of research. Before collection of data
written permission is taken from respondents as well as ensures them for secrecy and
confidentiality of collected data.

examining the information in qualitative as well as quantitative way. For analysing quantitative

is that it will attract new and fresh candidates towards there organisation, wherein 7 respondents
think that it increases employee engagement within the workplace so that they can accomplish
there work in an effective manner. At last remaining 13 respondents says that major importance
of talent management practice is that it will assist in retaining potential employees for a longer
period of time.

is quite less which affect the whole performance of the company. Along with this, another 10
respondents says that due to ineffective leadership style at the workplace, managers and leaders
faced various issues. At the end, remaining 10 respondents says that bringing changes within the
workplace is another essential issue which might face by leaders and managers of the
organisation.
