INTRODUCTION
Talent management is the effective or systematic process which is used by companies to
identify the vacant post, recruiting best person, developing accurate skills of the person. In
addition, the power, competency, ability of workers within an organisation is also called talent
management. For this research Sheraton Hotel is chosen international hotel that is founded by
Ernest Henderson, Robert Moore in 1937. Hotel decide to manage top talent at workplace with
purpose to accomplish better outcomes and improve performance (Bratton and Watson, 2018).
In order to manage talent within an organisation, number of ways could be used by organisation
such as understand the power of job description, provide training and development opportunities
on continuously and cultivate an honest career path. These ways support an enterprise in
retaining best and knowledgeable talent at workplace for longer time period.

Talent management introduce as an effective strategy of an organisation that helps them
to recruit, hire and retain the top talent at workplace. There are certain approaches for talent
management such as assessment of performance, effective compensation and many other. These
approaches helps an organisation to retain talent for longer time. Along with this, innovative way
of working supports an enterprise by creating a pay-for-performance culture, developing better
collaboration and creating highly-knowledgeable internal talent pools. Along with this, these
ways are essential for an Sheraton Hotel in improvement of its growth and success at
marketplace (D’Annunzio-Green, 2018). Talent management within an organisation is essential
in different ways such as improving business performance, reducing high employee turnover,
encouraging workers etc. Therefore, strategic approaches for talent management is important for
hotel to recruit and retain top talent.

management can be defined as to gain best of employee performance which is suitable for
business goals and success. It includes the criterion of meeting number of goals such as adding
value to manager of choice and branding agenda, contributing to diversity management and
building a high performance workplace. Meanwhile, it is necessary for an organisation to
encouraging the talent in correct direction which make them capable to performance effectively
in order to achieve set targets in appropriate manner. However, talent management is am
important aspects which refers to process including identification, development engagement,
retention, deployment of valuable individuals having specific value to company and systematic
attraction.
On the other hand, Davis and et. al., (2016), the strategic approach in regards to talent
management consist different ways for managing well experienced and talented staff in an
organisation. It includes development of job descriptions, providing opportunities related to

leadership in company. In addition to this, it consist the issue of managing the changes related to
business requirements regarding skills and talent. Moreover, it involves defining a forward
looking workforce strategy, foster innovation throughout the company and utilise data analytics
for improving HR related decisions.

According to the Cascio and Graham, (2016), Innovative ways are required to be applied
to perform more effectively in order to achieve the strategic approach for managing talent in a
company. It includes the criterion of utilising innovative technique for managing talent with
appropriate skills and experiences which impact on achievement of business objectives. Some of
practices are mentioned her which are creative and helpful to attain desired objectives
successfully.
Initially, it consist to beginning with an end in mind including an innovative talent
strategy that must be tightly aligned with specific business strategy. It is necessary to plan
effective technique to hire correct people for correct designations which are supportive in
attainment of business goals of an organisations. Secondly, it includes that professionals working
for talent management are required to move from a seat at the table for setting the table. Thirdly,
it is required for managers to ficus on role of success profiles by considering competencies,
personal attributes, knowledge and experience. However, it is necessary to establish innovative
strategy related to talent management by focussing on communication, accountability, skill,
alignment and measurement.

explained as below:
Types of study: It is classified into two parts which are qualitative and quantitative.
Among this method, quantitative type of investigation would be apply. Main advantage for using
this method as it give information in numerical way and not take maximum time (Flick, 2015).
Qualitative is consider another sort of investigation that is not suitable for current topic. As this
type of study require more time and cost of researcher.
Research approach: There are basically two type which are Inductive and deductive .
These are used by researcher for analysing information about the selected topic, deductive
approach would be used. Main purpose of using this kind of approach as it helps in analysing of
quantitative data (Walliman, 2017). Inductive approach is not suitable for current investigation
because it require qualitative information.
Research philosophy: Philosophy within an investigation is divided into two sections
which named are positivism and interpretivisim. Among these philosophies, positivism sort of
philosophy would be applied (Gioia, Corley and Hamilton, 2013). As it assist in gathering as
well as analysing of quantitative data regarding the talent management. Interpretivisim
philosophy is based on qualitative study which is not useful for current investigation.
Research strategy: This section of research methodology is classified into number of sub
sections which are case study, questionnaire etc. These are also consider main strategy within an
investigation (Tuohy and et. al., 2013). In order to gather information about the management of
talent, questionnaire would be apply by researcher. As this type of strategy assist a researcher in
gather of data in reliable way.
Data collection: Data collection methods are primary and secondary. Questionnaire
would be applied in gathering of primary data about the management of talent. For collecting
secondary information about the selected topic, number of sources will be going to used (Green,
Camilli and Elmore, 2012). These are books, magazines, articles, journals, publication research
etc. Therefore, both sort of data collection methods will be applied by researcher for collecting

Sampling: This part of methodology has two kind of sampling which are probability and
non-probability. For doing this investigation, probability technique of sampling would be used
because it helps investigator in selection of sample size on random basis. By using this
technique, 40 employees of Sheraton Hotel will be recruited (Mackenzie and et. al., 2012). Non-
probability sampling is not appropriate for current study because it take maximum resources and
time.
Instruments of data collection: There are several instruments or methods of collecting
data which are interview, questionnaire, observation and so on. These are effective instruments
of data collection bur for gathering information about the management of talent, questionnaire is
used. Main reason for using questionnaire as it assist in gathering of reliable and also valid
information (Mackey and Gass, 2015).
Reliability and validity of study: Questionnaire is a best instrument of research that helps
in gathering of valid and real data. By following validity and reliability in accurate manner,
investigator in more capable to accumulate authentic information about the current study. Along
with this, questionnaire is more effective method that supports in gathering of reliability and also
valid information (McCusker and Gunaydin, 2015).
Cost, access and ethical issue: These are consider main methods that helps researcher in
conducting of primary and secondary researcher in systematic manner. Appropriate amount of
capital is require by investigator for doing each activities of primary and secondary research
effectively. Access is another source that assist an investigator in collecting of data from the
respondents. Researcher have proper access to gather information from the employees of
