Asda Talent Management: Employee Retention, Development & Challenges

This report investigates the talent management strategies employed by Asda, focusing on employee retention and development. It aims to determine the significance of these strategies in retaining and developing employees for the long term. The research objectives include identifying specific strategies used by Asda, analyzing the benefits of talent management in improving employee effectiveness and motivation, and examining the challenges faced during implementation. The methodology involves primary research through a questionnaire survey of 30 Asda employees and secondary research through a literature review. Findings from the questionnaire are presented, highlighting employee perceptions of talent management, the practices used, and feelings of being valued. The report evaluates the effectiveness of Asda's talent management strategies, recommending improvements based on comparisons with other companies like Morrisons. It also includes a personal reflection on the skills developed during the project.
