Literature Review
Fundamental concept of Talent management
According to Prarthana Ghosh 2021, there has been a massive change in the talent
management techniques over a period of time. As the markets are highly dynamic it is important
for companies to make sure that they are managing the human resource strategically. Talent
management refers to a process which helps the companies in getting right talent in the
organisation and have mutual growth. It helps the employees in having growth in their optimal
capabilities and will also make sure that the employee is able to achieve the goals and objectives
of the company with the help of those capabilities.
The process also involves providing appropriate training to the new recruited employees
in order to help them in understanding the culture and workings of the company also it will help
the company in conveying their expectations to the employees (What is Talent Management?
Definition, Strategy, Process and Models, 2021). Analysing the right talent gap will help the
company in recruiting personal which are best suited for that particular vacant job. Human
resource is considered to be one of the most important resource of the company as with the help
of this resource the company will be able to achieve their goals and objectives with utmost
efficiency and accuracy. It is important for the company to make sure that they are motivating
their employees in order to enhance their performance and productivity. The aim of talent
management is to develop skills of employees and to provide training which can help them in
achieving abilities and expertise with a focus on future and the employees will be able to achieve
the long term business goals of the company.

employees in understanding their job and will also make sure that the employees are working
according to the goals and objectives of the company (6 Simple Talent Management Strategies,
2021). Some specifications that must be included in job description are Job title, Overall duties,
Necessary skills, Work relationships, Tools and equipment used, Salary and benefits, etc.
Assess the cultural fit of the candidate: It is important for the organisation to make sure
that the employee they are recruiting is fit according to the culture of the company. The culture
will help the candidate in their growth and development and if the candidate is unable to manage
the culture of the company then they will not be able to perform and grow in the organisation.
Provide training and learning opportunities continuously: it is important for the
organisation to make sure that they are providing development opportunities to the employees of
the company. It will help the company in retaining talented employees as the employee feel
valued by the organisation and will also be able to perform better. It will help the employee in
developing their skills and will also make them a loyal employee of the company.
Challenges in implementing talent management strategies effectively
According to Top Echelon, there are several challenges faced by the organisation as
talent management is not an easy task to do. It is extremely important for the organisation to
make sure that their employees are satisfied with the job and are working according to the needs
of the company. There are other factors as well which may create challenges for the company in
organizing their talent management. Some of them are given below:
Poor hiring strategies: The first and foremost step in talent management is to start
recruiting high performer employees for the open positions in the organization. Without creating
a strong employee base it will be extremely difficult for the company to manage the rest of the
process involved in talent management (How Recruiters Can Help Solve Talent Management
Challenges, 2020). It is important for the company to attract right talent in the organization
which can fit into the culture of the organization and can fulfil the expectations of employer.
Defective leadership: Managers and leaders play an important role in managing and
retaining new as well as experienced employees in the organization. Ineffective leadership can
create a negative working environment and the employees will not be able to get correct
guidance through which they can complete their task and hep the organisation in achieving their
goals and objectives.

Employee turnover: High employee turnover rate indicates that the company is unable
to retain the talented employees and are not providing job satisfaction to their employees. High
turnover rate is not good for the reputation of the company as The Company will not be able to
attract new talent in the organization. It is important for the talent management to make sure that
the company is able to retain their employees and will also make sure that the company is having
a pool of talent which can fill up the vacant positions in the company.
Research Methodology
Research Philosophy
This refers to the worldview or viewpoint from which the research is conducted.
Positivism and Interpretivisim are the two research philosophy options which can be used to
complete a research (Payne and Bryant, 2018). The present research is completed by using
positivism reasoning is that it involves usage of objective data and helps gain generalizable
outcome.
Research Approach
The two research approaches which are used for finishing an investigation are deductive
research approach and inductive research approach. The research approach utilized for this
investigation is deductive research approach. The justified reasoning for completing the research
with the help of deductive research approach is that it involves quantifiable measurements of
different variables which helps understand different concepts effectively.
Research Strategy
Research can be conducted by using any of the various research strategies such as
questionnaire, poll, experimental research, case study research and action research (Weber,
2017). Questionnaire is used for completing this investigation. The reason for selecting
questionnaire for completing the research is that it helps in easier data collection and does not
require heavy financial investment. In addition to this objective data can be collected from
questionnaire in short time period.
Research Choice
This involves selection of qualitative or quantitative method for completing the research.
The present investigation has been completed by usage of quantitative research. The reason for
this is that it enables duplication of outcome along with increasing objectivity and reliability of
the research. In addition to this usage of quantitative research method also helps increase the

authenticity of the research which helps gain better research findings. This is done as quantitative
research involves usage of numerical data which is not affected by the bias of the researcher.
Sampling
A sample refers to smaller data set which is collected from a larger population by using
pre-determined selection process (Al Abbas and et. al., 2019). The two types of sampling
methods which can be taken for finishing a research are probabilistic sampling and non-
probabilistic sampling. This research is conducted by using probabilistic sampling method. The
reasoning for using probabilistic sampling is that it eliminates possibility of systematic errors and
sampling bias affecting the research. In addition to this systematic errors are estimated with
better accuracy by using this sampling method. Apart from this inferences abut larger
populations can also be made by using this sampling method.
Data Collection
This involves collecting data for the research from primary sources or secondary sources.
The present research is completed by using data from both primary as well as secondary sources.
The reason for this is that it helps gain first-hand information which is specific to the area of the
research as well as existing knowledge for completing the research. It also helps improve the
reliability of the research as data is collected from different sources.
Data analysis
This is the final part of the research methodology which involves analysing the collected
information (Rathore, Thakkar and Jha, 2017). The two methods of data analysis are frequency
data analysis and thematic data analysis. The present investigation is completed by using
frequency data analysis. The justification for using this data analysis method is that it helps
present raw data in an easy to read format. In addition to this the data is also effectively
organized by usage of the frequency data analysis which helps effectively interpret information
and depict research findings in an easy to understand manner.
