Introduction
Talent management refers to the practices of managing activities related to human resources at
work place. It is a wide approach which comprises ample of activities such as hiring, selecting,
motivating work force in significant manner so that they remain with company for longer
duration. It is stated that talent management is really helpful in retaining employees for longer
run (Whysall, Owtram, and Brittain, 2019). The present report is based on TESCO which is a
well known company of retail industry of UK and offers range of products to customers across
the globe. The report signifies value of talent management practices in order to retain work force
within organization.

overall duties, work relationship and employee benefits. Talent management strategy is related
with assessment of the candidates cultural fit. It can be difficult to identify a proper culture that is
suitable as per employee functioning. In organisations like Tesco the present culture of
organisation can be helpful in identification of the different ways in which a proper culture can
be developed (De Boeck, and et.al., 2019). Talent management process is also associated with
offering continuous training and development opportunities to employees by offering them on
the job as well as off the job training measures. Apart from this it is a function that is related to
offering Employees with respective rewards and recognition. It is very important for
organisations to retain the employees that can help them in getting a long-run competitive
advantage also it is very important for effective functioning of employees. Talent management
strategies are very helpful in cultivating a genuine career path so that there can be enhancement
