Project Management Plan
A project is described as a framework for carrying out a specific subject in order to achieve
the objectives that the investigator sets out to investigate. It is a tool for properly aligning tasks in
order to achieve research objectives. A particular research is started and ended in an efficient
manner with the aid of a project management plan. It has several phases, including initiation,
preparation, execution, and monitoring. As these constituents are required for directing a
particular project effectively that are discussed below:
Time This states to a crucial feature for completing a particular project
effectively within set time frame. To gain profitable results timeline are to be set
for completing project so that risk and uncertainties within study is to be avoided.
The time to complete this project is about one month and investigator also ensures
all actions are done within the specific time of one month.
Cost – It represents as the expenditures which are incurred at the stage of
conducting research. Cost is very essential to completing the project on time in a
smooth manner. The budget for completing this research is around £800 under this
all the task is done effectively and efficiently.
Quality – It is one of the major factors in a project that reflects the validity and
reliability of conducting a particular project (Chen and et.al., 2021). By involving
in the project, investigator highly focuses on quality in gathering and collecting
data so that effective recommendations are to be drawn that helps in completing the
whole project successfully also in reliable quality.
Scope- It includes various functions and attributes that involves within research
that is essential to meet the research objectives appropriately (Chen and et.al.,
2021). The scope of conducting this project is to be develops the information on
talent strategies that is used to attracts and retain talent within an organisation. In
this strategies and challenges within talent management are the scope of conducting
this project.
Communication – Thisconsidered as a success and failure of a project. After
deciding the project time and scope the next stage that investigator follow is to

communicate the activities and outcomes of research to the members who involved
within this particular research (Chen and et.al., 2021). Communication helps in
completing the project in effective and appropriate manner so that necessary
outcomes will enjoy by researcher. In this communication is done between
employees, managers, supervisors etc.
Risk- By doing this research in effective and efficient manner the major risk is the
technical risk that a researcher faces which negatively affects in overall completion
of project. Because of the technical risk, researcher face issue in communicate with
other members. Another risk is risk of reliability of data and information which
affects in successfully completing the research. To complete the research
confidentiality in data is to be needed so that project would be done successfully.
Resources –It refers to the factor that is needed to complete the project in set time
frame. It is very essential for planning the resources so that project would be
completed in effective and efficient manner. This also helps in reaching the project
at last stage. In this several major resources are man, machines and manpower etc.
In this resources are used in optimal manner so that targets are attained on time
frame.
WBS and Gantt Chart
Work breakdown structure
This defines to a type of project management tool which is used to carry the operations of
projects in optimal manner. In this several activities are divided into small parts so that targets
are attained effectively (Colombo and et.al., 2021). It refers to a procedure to break down the
activities into small activities so that effective outcomes are attained. To conduct this research
task are bifurcated as per the nature of activities of this particular project so that activities on
priority are done effectively and whole project is completing appropriately.

Gantt chart
A Gantt chart is a chart is reflects the timeline for completion the project on priority
basis. It helps the researcher to schedule and plan the projects appropriately so that tough
projects are simplified easily (Grant and McGhee, 2021). This chart is presented in an effective
manner where left chart denotes project related activities and top side presents the timeline for
completing the activities. To effectively understand the chart pictorial presentation of chart is
necessary that helps in measuring the activities.

TASK 2
Small Scale Research using Research Methods
An investigation refers to an organized practice that includes data analysis, data collection,
documentation and interpretation to collect and gather data to reach the authentic outcomes. The
procedure of research helps in attaining the objectives effectively and efficiently (Gupta, 2021).
The research needs in depth analysis on specific project so that particular research objectives are
attained effectively and successfully. An appropriate and viable research helps in attaining the

overall aim and objectives so that at last effective conclusion is to be drawn. There are two
methods which are elaborated below:
Qualitative research- It is a type of research that reflects the outcome in non-
numerical way. This research is centred on gathering of concepts, thoughts of a
person in words. This researcher focuses on gathering ideas through the internet or by
analyzing the ideas of a single person. Observations, among other things, are to be
included in these open-ended questions.
Quantitative research- This type of research is reflected in statistical terms. This
type of research is expressed in numbers, mathematical and statistical manner. To
conduct this research close ended questions are used that helps in drawing effective
conclusions at the end of project.
To conduct this research, investigator use quantitative research in which questionnaire survey
is used (Hu and et.al., 2021). Questionnaire survey is to be used because it directly connects
the respondents so that valid outcomes are presented within the particular research.
Data collection- It refers to a procedure of collation of data so that useful information is to be
gathered to the related topic. Data is to be collected in two manners that aresecondary data
collection and primary data collection.
Primary data- It defines that the data is collected first handed by researcher without the
use of presented references. This type of data collection is effective and provides reliable
and authentic results because the information is gathered by investigator for the first time
that draws the reliable conclusion at the end of the research.
Secondary data- this defines to the type of data collection where sources are collected
from already published data and journals. This method is high time consuming so that
data is not collected on specified time.
To conduct this study, researcher adopts the use of primary data collection by using
questionnaire survey method so that data is collected effectively and efficiently and it also
represents the valid conclusion at the end of the project. In this secondary research is also

used to gather the information on related topic of talent management that represents the
successful results for business organisation.
Sampling- This is a process of choosing a set of people from the large number of
population for collecting the data to a particular research so that effective outcome is to be
gained (Lauer, 2021). To conduct this research researcher use random sampling method so
that biasness should be removed and respondents provide the valuable information related to
specific topic. For completing this research researcher select 30 respondents on random basis
who filled the questionnaire so that viable results is to be attained by investigator.
Ethical considerations- Ethics are very essential term to conduct a research in effective
and efficient manner. A researcher completes the whole project proficiently if they work
ethically and it also helps in engaging investors and other people in an effective manner.
There are several ethical terms such as reduce the risk that harm and destroy resources, high
protection of autonomy, provide right to withdraw the research participants, honesty and
many more all are prominent for conducting the research effectively that provides valid
outcomes at the end so that proficient recommendation is to be drawn.
Research limitations- While conducting the research there are several limitations which
impacted negatively on the performance of researcher and its accomplishing (Rajibul and
Kijima, 2021). The restrictions are absence of time, inadequate resources, assortment of best
methods to conduct the research so that it provides valid outcomes and many more. All these
impact deleterious on research due to this the investigation cannot do in an organized style.
Above mentioned all the terms are very crucial to evaluating so that particular research is
to be done effectively and efficiently. These terms also helps in meeting the aim and research
objectives so that valid and authentic outcome is to be presents at the end of the specific
investigation.
Questionnaire is a common method which is used for carrying out Research because through
it the views of various respondents can be recorded. Therefore, the use of Questionnaire by
Morrisons will be done in the following manner-
