INTRODUCTION
Management of a business is very necessary and it is an essential part of any organisation
so as to get successful business. This management of a business includes proper administration
of the various activities that is being carried out in a company, which will help in the success and
growth of the business (Bénabou and Tirole, 2010). This report is based on the case study of
Taste and Fantasy Bakery regarding the CSR activities. Taste and Fantasy Bakery is a family
bakery which provides cakes, pastries, fresh breads, etc. It has 45 employees and their main aim
is to put customers at the priority. They wants to carry out CSR activities for the successful
management of business and also for maintaining good relationship with the employees and the
customers. This will helps to maintain the ethical environment in which the business is operating.
This report will analyse the implementation of the CSR activities in the organisation which will
be helpful to meet desired aims and objective of the company. This study will aims in developing
knowledge and understanding regarding successful business management.
TASK 1
P1 Project aim and objectives for Taste and Fantasy Bakery
Project can be defined as the collaborative or individual contribution of an enterprise
which generally involves the design and the research which is planned properly by the project
team so as to achieve the specific aim. Taste and Fantasy Bakery is carrying out a project on
CSR activities. CSR activities are generally termed as the business commitment to behave
ethically and to contribute in the development of the economy by improving workforce quality.
With the help of these activities company will give commitment regarding product offering
which will satisfy needs of the consumers and can meet federal food safety regulations standards
in regards with nutrient's content that have major impact on health (Carroll and Shabana, 2010).
Company also aims to satisfy the craving of local community and society by proving good
products and services.
Project Aim:
ï‚· The aim of the Taste and Fantasy Bakery is to satisfy consumers need and to meet
standards of federal food safety regulations. They also wants to maintain the level of
ethical activities so that it could not harm the customers by considering the impact of
economic and social environment.

consumers.
ï‚· Their aim is to practice transparency and to give respect to the rights of consumers which
means they have right to know what they are getting in their food (Collyer and et.al.,

ï‚· To maintain the energy supply which will help in reducing the emission and also want to
make effective and efficient use of water.
ï‚· Their aim is to incorporate healthier bread in the store which will have .01% salt content,
whole grain with different elements like barley, spelt and oat bread which will good taste
to the target market.
Project Objectives:
ï‚· The main objective of the Taste and Fantasy Bakery regarding the CSR activities is to
improve nutritional profile of the products with the help of reducing sugar, salt, Tran’s
fatty acid, saturated fats, sodium etc. which affects the health of public.
ï‚· Their objective is to increase beneficial content in ingredients of their product like fibre,
whole grain, mineral and vitamins. They also wants to promote their spelt, oat and barley
bread. They are looking to provide wholemeal soda bread in the market, which will have
benefits like. It will be low in cholesterol, low in saturated fats, will be sugar free and
high in fibres.
ï‚· Their objective is to find out nutritional deficiency in are of distribution and wants to
develop such product which can help to satisfy such needs. Various different minerals
and vitamins are required by the human body that helps in development and prevention of
disease. These minerals and vitamins are called micronutrients (Crane and Matten, 2016).
ï‚· Company wants to add nutrition label on their products so that it will be helpful for the
customers to easily choose products. They also wants to operate and work in the local
communities and the society which will help in making the effective and efficient
relations with the community's representatives by conducting different activities that will
help in achieving the company's specified mission and vision.

know more about food and health.

P2 Plan of project management
Implementation of the good project needs a proper plan which will help in achieving the
project aims and objectives. For the proper project management various things like cost, time,
scope, quality, etc. should be considered (Crawford and Nahmias, 2010). Taste and Fantasy
Bakery have made project plan so as to know scope, cost, quality, time and risk associated with
the CSR activities.
ï‚· Cost: To produce healthier bakery products, Taste and Fantasy Bakery make research of
various information like customers, recipe, competition and opinion which is necessary
for the improvement and future development (Du, Bhattacharya and Sen, 2010). In this
process 2 weeks and 2 members will be engaged who will be in charge of research.
Expected cost for this may be £2000. IT person will also be needed for maintenance and
creation of nutritional website which will help in the promotion of baked products, and
estimated cost for this is £4000. Cost involved in production is estimated as £1500 for
bags, cups, printed boxes and labels. Example of printed paper bag is:
ï‚· Quality: Advanced method have been applied by the manufacturing unit for controlling
the quality of finished products and raw material. In order to offer high quality bread,
focus is on raw materials, water, salt, raising agents, storage, manufacturing process and

hygiene. While planning a project, quality factor must be taken into consideration and the
good quality of products and services should be provided to customers (Edmonds, 2011).
ï‚· Scope: The food industry is growing rapidly and consumers are more conscious about
their health and food. Company's goal is to continue working in order to make new
offerings like high quality products, good taste bakery products without artificial
sweeteners, colours etc. which will make positive impact on the system of food. They
wants to provide wellness and health at both individual and community level. Website of
the company is full of necessary information in relation with products and also provide
natural health advices. Staff of the company is always ready to solve problems of the
customers. They also wants to be durable and fair with their customers by providing
quality services and products.
ï‚· Risk: There are several risk which are in association with the project. These are price
fluctuations, raw materials which are used by bakery have extreme fluctuations and this
can be minimized by negotiating on a contract regarding fixed price on raw material.
Another risks are limited growth and wrong estimation of the time and cost.
ï‚· Time: It is the span which company will take to implement the project which it has
planned. Activities related to CSR scheme will be implemented for a year, but if there
will be positive results from the implemented activities then project can be extended for a
large period. For instance, company analyse that in next 5 years after the implementation
of the CSR project, the Taste and Fantasy Bakery will make integrated concept of trade
and regional production and after the creation of brand it will go for national production.
P3 Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
Project can be properly managed and divided into various different and small task which
will make it easy and the manageable, and this can be done with the help of the work breakdown
structure. With the help of it project can be managed in a systematic manner and will assist in the
project planning. Work breakdown structure helps to divide work into various sections so that it
will be easy to make people understand their responsibilities. It will be very helpful when in an
organisation, a complex and difficult project is being carried out then with the help of this
structure it can be made easy (Eckerson, 2010). Taste and Fantasy Bakery make use of the work
breakdown structure in order to design their project which is based on the CSR activities. The
work is divided into different segments so as to carry out the activities properly. Company

divides the work in four parts that is requirements in which there will be investigation & survey
of the product, and the product suitability will also be assessed. In Designing part, layout of the
project will be made. In construction step, material will be purchased and the system will be
build. In the testing part, functionality of the project will be tested.
Gantt is used for analysing the time management which a project will take to get
completed. It defines the starting and the ending dates regarding the project completion which
will be very helpful in the project management. The horizontal alignment represents the amount
of work which is done and what needs to be done. With the help of the Gantt chart, each and
every task can be seen in different way with the help of the time frame which describes real and
the planned time (Gantt Chart, 2017). For the project regarding the CSR activities, Taste and
Fantasy Bakery make use of this chart, by which the completion time can be determined by
them. Work breakdown structure helps to divide tasks, whereas with the help of Gantt chart tasks
can be divided on the basis of time, basically it helps in scheduling the project so as to get the
effective results and which will also help in the management of activities in useful and strong

P4 Small- scale research with the help of qualitative and quantitative research methods
Small scale research is basically done which helps in encouraging the development of
various skills and also helps in gaining understanding of how different tools will be helpful in
investigation or analysis of the topic. It work systematically with the methods used for inquiry
and describes the weaknesses and strengths of various approaches. The research will be done
regarding the CSR activities. Qualitative method of research is the type of method which helps in
finding out the quality of the particular project for which a company is working (Goksoy, Ozsoy
and Vayvay, 2012). By using this method Taste and Fantasy Bakery will verify whether the
project which is carried on the CSR activities is useful or not. Quality of the project can also be
analysed using this method. On the other side, method which is in relation with the quantitative
method will help to explore various types of questions by defining the clear and specified
objective. This is done on random basis and is a type of structured method.
Research methodology is the important research tool used for making research. It
involves various steps which includes research philosophy, limitations, design, data analysis etc.
Research Philosophy
In the research philosophy, scholar's belief is included which helps to analyse, examine
and collect data. The main philosophy of research is defined as positivism which helps on
evaluating objectives of research. Use of experimental observations are used in positivism
research.

Another method for collecting data is random sampling method. According to this
methodology a sample is prepared while taking whole population as one. For this research there
are 15 employees get selected which are completely different from each other and have different
interest.
Data analysis
In this various number of information get analyse which is taken into account on different
number of respondent. This data analysis is compulsory because a perfect outcome can be found
out with the help of this approach.
Ethical consideration
It includes values and norms which have to be follow for making any research proposal.
This lead to make any project successful because with the help of this thing a project become

company. CSR clearly shows that who give support to such activities, organisations give
success and wealth to them. For the benefit of the customer company should focus on

material and resources used for making facts and conclusions. With the help of this research I
understand many things through which my knowledge get increase. I also get understand various
facts and figures analysis which is one of the most appropriate element in this concern. Also I
get aware about the two approaches which are basic and applied. For carrying out a particular

project there are various cope also have to get understand and while making this project I clearly
get realise that (Smith, Binns and Tushman, 2010).
Corporate social responsibility can be defined as the standard practice of the business.
With the help of this proposal I earn a knowledge about CSR which is one of the beneficial thing
in every company. Implementation of the CSR activities will make the company to achieve
growth and reputation and with the help of it they can stand strong. According to the Taste and
Fantasy Bakery, execution of the CSR activities help the company to gain the competitive
advantages. With the help of this I get made various policies, rules and guidelines for the
stakeholders of a company through which they can manage their work in favour of society.
Company's main responsibility is to provide high quality bakery products to its customers so that
they can satisfy their needs and requirements (Yilmaz and Flouris, 2010). Research and the
analysis is being done by the Taste and Fantasy Bakery by designing various plans on the basis
of analysis which is done by the company with the use of suitable tools and techniques. To
conduct a proper research, objectives and the targets are being prepared which should get
achieved on priority, and for that, strategy formulation is one of the major thing which is done.
Several limitations are faced by the researcher during research is at the time of Gantt
chart preparation, because it becomes difficult to collect data for several tasks in relation with the
project, but on the other hand it helped to divide task according to the time. Preparation of the
questionnaire provides necessary knowledge in order to implement the task which is related to
the activities of CSR. It develops the knowledge and the skills which helps in the effective

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be analysed that the in Taste and Fantasy Bakery,
management of the business so as to get successful is very important as it will help in the growth
and success of the company. It can be concluded from the report that the implementation of the
CSR activities in the organisation will help in maintaining relationship with customers,
employees, local communities, environment and society which will eventually help in the
goodwill of the company. Company should focus on preparing more healthy products by
reducing the use of unhealthy ingredient, so as to increase the customer base of the company
which will eventually help in development and growth of company.
