Introduction
Education and teaching have always held a very important place in my life. When I look
back, I was truly inspired by my primary school teacher. As soon as she entered the classroom,
there was a sudden flow of excitement in the room. Suddenly, math was so much fun, and we
were able to understand those complicated numbers without any effort. Even at that younger age,
I often wondered why we did not feel the same passion for learning for other subjects. From that
very moment, I decided I would like to be like my primary school teacher and help children
study and learn in a real sense.
As I grew older, I became surer of my career goals that I wanted to be a teacher. My
early childhood experiences have kept me motivated towards my goals of helping children to
learn and be successful in their educational journey. Even the very thought of becoming a teacher
gives me immense satisfaction and makes me determined to acquire those skills that are essential
to become a licensed Elementary teacher. I believe that international education is the best way to
get exposure on a global level. This is my chance to meet students from all across the world and
interact with them. One is exposed to higher levels of learning as the students make efforts to
communicate with other students who speak a different language and are from a different
culture. The experience and exposure would broaden my horizon and make me more receptive
and tolerant towards others.
I am very excited to apply for the Elementary Education Master of Arts in Teaching
course at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). It would be a great honor to study at this highly
selective institution that is looked upon as one of the top colleges in the country. I am confident
that the degree program will help me achieve my career goals and set a clear path for obtaining
my teaching licensure. The core courses in learning theory and behavior management are well

designed to train one as a teaching professional. I am eager to enroll at TCNJ as a graduate
student for the course that will not help me become a certified elementary school teacher. The
course will add to my skillsets and the international education experience would empower me
further.
I just do not want to become any teacher but want to make a positive and meaningful
impact on the next generation. I carry strong desire to inspire young learners and contribute
positively to the society. I firmly believe that a great teacher can make a lasting impact on the
students and bring positive changes in their life and society.
I look forward to being accepted for the course and pursue my career goals and work in
the future as an elementary school as an efficient teacher who can help transform educational
landscapes. Moreover, good education from a reputed institute can help me imbibe those skills
and knowledge that are required to become a highly effective teacher.
