There are some technical issues in the 2-way handshake method, which makes security
level low (Tanenbaum, 2014). It is necessary because Acknowledgement is necessary for proper
connection from the next node. In a three-way handshake, client provides a sin single to the
server that a connection be created in a proper manner. After that server can send data to the
client.
A three-way handshake technique confirms the ACK from the sender or client to know that it is
life and working in the network. It reduces risk from the network of authentication. However,
traffic has increased because of this technique but it provides high security and authentication.
In addition, two-way handshake techniques are less effective and less secure, which makes less
security. However, it is fast as compared to the two-way handshake technique. In addition,
there are many issues in these techniques.
Moreover, clients can make their connection more secure using three-way handshake
technology.
