MY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY AS A TEACHER :
 A teacher plays an
important role in a student’s
life starting from imparting
knowledge to moulding of
behavior, habits and their
character. Teachers must
have strong command on
their subjects so as to
satisfy the query of his
students (Clarke and Braun,
2013, p.121).

 A teacher should be efficient and have a good
personality for example having a good character,
good sense of humor and love for the children.

 My role and responsibility
includes teaching and
guiding. I have to prepare
and update myself
regularly and also guide
the students whenever they
require. For becoming a
successful teacher, I have
to plan regularly my work
and also the works to be
done by the students.

I have to organize and supervise all the tasks,
activities and also need to evaluate the students for
their understanding of where they are standing. I
even have to maintain healthy relation with the
students, their parents and my peers.

THE ASPECTS OF LEGISLATION AND
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS-
 Data Protection Act 1998:
According to this act personal
information should be kept
secret and should not be
used unfairly (Price and
Kirkwood, 2014, p.555). As
a teacher I fully support this
because personal data should
be kept personal, sometimes
being public it may create
lots of problems.

 Healthy And Safety at Work Act 1947:
It covers the health and safety of the students, providing them a healthy
and safe atmosphere (Lahti et al. 2014, p.139). Management of school
must appoint a health and safety officer for this purpose. It is the duty
of the school to take good care of the children. Being a teacher I prefer
taking good care of children. I provide them neat and clean
environment, proper ventilation and hygienic toilet facilities to avoid
health issues.

 Equality Act 2010-
 According to this act, it is
unlawful for the schools to harass
the students or victimize them on
the basis of caste, race and
gender. I being a teacher
absolutely support this as there
should not be any discrimination
in providing benefits to the
students based on their caste and
race. Each and every student
should get equal opportunity as
they have equal rights.

 The Education Act 2011-
This act is mainly related to
schools for providing proper
education and training to the
students. It not only covers the
theoretical part but also looks
after to enhance the practical
knowledge of the students. For
good practical experience it
allows the educational
institutes to borrow the
necessary things from the
relevant body. As a teacher I
support this for the efficiency
and betterment of students.

CODE OF PRACTICE RELATING TO MY OWN
AREA OF TEACHING, EDUCATION AND
TRAINING-
 It includes developing
knowledge of the students,
their skills according to
requirement by providing
them with proper study
materials, training and
teaching programs. It
involves providing them
opportunities to learn new
things and also makes them
able to take responsibility of
their own work.
