INTRODUCTION
Writing is one of important skills for a person which allow them to express their views,
information, knowledge, opinions in words (Bolster, 2018). Writing skills required certain skills
for a peorson including communications skills, adaptability for change. Openness, research
skills, presentations skills, organisation skills and other skills and knowledge of a person. This
project report includes discussion of interview to be conducted of a writing in order opt
knowledge about their experience and feeling of learning writing. It also includes discussion of
comparison of own response with another person.
MAIN BODY
Conducting interview
Writing is important things which helps a person to write their ideas, thoughts, expression
and feelings on various things. There are various skills and knowledge which is required by a
person in order to improve writing skills of a person (Isha, 2016). I have conducted an interview
with a person who is recalling their experience while learning to write. This person is also
sharing their experience with me related to writing in which helps me to learn new things. In this
question, I have asked many questions arise in my minds and also to get more information about
their experience and feeling in learning of writing.
In this interview first I asked to them about did they see themselves as writers? why or why
not?
They said that they did not see themselves as writer as in initial level, they are not good in
writing skills. They failed in sentence formation and also did various grammatical errors. They
added that they have creativity skills through which new ideas came in their minds and also has
new ways to describe any stories or other real life but they feel difficulty in writing. So, they did
not see themselves as writer.
In this interview, I asked next question to them which is, how did they develop thins
perception about themselves in relation to writing?
The writers said that they have are not good in writing that’s why they did not thing about to
be a writer but after that, with practice of writing and improvement in class develop will in them
to be a writer. They get to know about their skills with their daily routine of diary writing as once
their friend has read their diary and tell them that they are writing well and good (Smith, 2020).

They should use their skills in their career. This thing made a perception in them to be writers in
future as a career choice.
After that, I asked them another question to know about what process they use when they
write. Writing process of every people is not same as al people are write in different manner.
This process can include various steps like prewriting, drafting, revising, editing. Thee steps
helps ot make writing process of a person more effective.
Mostly they write about topics like financial or economical issues as they doing jobs in
which they need to write various article related to these topics. They least write about general
topics like fashion industry. They like to write about general fashion as they have interest in
fashion trends and other trendy things.
In order to know things which, make a writer good, I asked another question to writer. They
answered question by saying that it is difficult to specify a good writer but there are some
characteristics which make a person good writer (Sheldahl, 2020). Good writer should give
attention towards details as before writing any topic, writer must have knowledge and
information about topics. They need to be discipline and which provide clarity in their opinions
which should clearly understandable for others. They should also have strong vocabulary which
helps them to avoid mistakes in their writing content and should has ability to open for accepting
changes. They should have passion for reading which enhance their knowledge.
In next question, I get to know required skills and knowledge for a good writer. Good
writers should have certain skills like good communication skills including oral and written
communication (Budge, Lemon and McPherson, 2016). They should as adaptability and
discipline which helps them get more information. They should have research as well as
organisational skills which is important t gather important data for topic related to their research.
After that I asked them, question related to what support them to be a writer. They answered
question that they get support from their family members as well as teachers. They also get
support from their friends which helps them to be a good writer in their field.
Teacher provide support development and confidence of them by guiding them on write path
and also motivate them to focus on their career. Teachers finding grammatical errors and other
problems in their content which helps them to reduce errors in their content. It helps to boost
confidence of them and make them good writer.

Teacher use pedagogy approach of writing which take place in learning as well as teaching
context. It includes project report, and lab, artistic pieces, lesson plans, classic academic essay,
policy document and many other things. There are different ways ot imprve writing pedagogoy
as teachers can start class with one or two minute of writing which helps to improve students.
They can also conduct this small writing session in end of class. A person can pose their topics
as problems which is to be solved instead of information sharing.
In process of writing, writers first need pre-writing think and decide. In this a person
needs to understand their assignment on which they are writing weather it is research paper or
another topic. A person needs to real all work and brainstorms ideas related to subject on which
they want to write (Shand and Konza, 2016). In next step, writer do research if it is required for
topic on which they want to write as it makes a person able to write correct information. After
that draft writing is required in which individual needs to put all information related to research
in their own words. Writer also needs to write paragraph and needs to judge their own content
and also needs to add references from where they write information as referencing is important
in field of writing. In next step, a person requires revising as it helps to make content better and
improve mistakes in content. In last step individual needs to proofread and edit their content to
make it correct which helps to improve writing.
Writer identity
I did not see my self as writers as I also does not have good skills in writing. To become a writer,
a person needs to have good writing skills which I do not has. I develop this perception about
myself as I has poor writing skills and I got less marks in exam due to poor vocabulary and
grammar (Toohey, 2017). There is various process to be followed by a person to write something
which is different from person to person. But to write on something, first I needs to pre think in
which I needs to think and decide and research for various information. In next step, a person
needs to drag witing and revise it to make content better. After than I proofread all information
and make necessary correction through editing.
I mostly write on fashion trends and styles as I like fashion blogs and other things. I have
knowledge of fashion sense and other things which create interest of me in writing on such
topics. I least write on academic topics as I write on these topics for completion of my academic
journals and assignments. There various skills of me which makes me to be good writer like my

improved vocabulary, grammar, disciplines and other things. There are various skills and
knowledge required by a person to be a good writer including communication skills, discipline,
research skills, presentation skills, openness to accept changes and subject knowledge. My
family members and friends provide me support to be good writers as they help to me realise my
passion for writing. My teachers also support me to be a writer by motivating for writing more
and more. They also help to improve my grammars and vocabulary which helps me to improve
my overall writing skills.
I have learned various things by this interview that, a person can realise their potential at any
time and it is important for a person to develop some skills to follow their passion, in order to be
a good writer, a person needs to also follow good writing models (Ruegg, 2018). I have learned
about three models of writing including cognitive process model of writing, process approach
and genre theory of writing. All these theories and model of writing helps me opt improve my
skills and knowledge to be a good writer.
I have taken interview of a writers who has different skills which made him writers and other
ways which improve their skills. On the other hand, I have different skills which made me
writers. Improving witing skills and writing as a teacher in effective ways helps me to improve
my confidence and observation skills. These things are important for develop better career
opportunity for a person as writer.
CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that writing skills is one of important
skills in order to express view, opinions, ideas and thoughts in words. To be effective in writing,
a person required some skills including communication skills, adaptability skills, discipline and
other things.
