Introduction
After the analysis over the case studies, the following resources and their implementation
strategies are suggested for the teacher for overcoming the problem of the students and make
the teaching process more effective.

As studied the case, the boy name Gerad found difficulty in reading books. Use of musical
instrument with recorded poems and stories would be suitable for the improvement in reading
for Gerad. With the help of musical instrument, the boy will develop a habit of listening and
by this he would be able to improve his reading skills. Listening to musical instruments will
improve his pronunciation and help the boy to understand the pronunciation of different
words (Green, 2006).
The musical instrument should be played inside the classroom after teaching session. It helps
the students in proper understanding of stories. It improves the memory power of students. As
discussed with this case, Gerad who is facing problem in reading. He even does not want to
attend his class of reading, he want to always go outside by making excuses. As it was stated
in case that Gerad is stumbling over words, he need such a device which could help him in
understanding the pronunciation with a flow of reading, musical instruments with recorded
audios of poems and chapters of his curriculum will surely help him in understanding the
reading of words (Allen, 1983).
The memory power of the Gerad related to understanding of words would be enhanced up to
a satisfactory level with the help of recordings of musical instruments. By recognising the
words in recording format with appropriate musical tune, again and again, the boy will be
able to learn the procedure of reading. This habit of learning the words will definitely helpful
in improving his reading skills (Lucy, 2017).

Videos with recorded voice related to the chapters of curriculum with attractive figures,
graphics, charts and tables will be helpful in understanding the concepts of the books. These
attractive videos will allure the students in watching it carefully. The information provided in
the video should be relevant and valid. Relevance should be check by the teacher in order to
ensure about the teaching objectives received by students with the help of videos. Attractive
and eye capturing presentation of different characters of the curriculum should be involved in
video. Natural sceneries or scenes of daily life should be involved in video for proper
understanding of the chapters related to curriculum (Mathew & Alidmat, 2013).
As discussed with this case, Gerad does not take his book readers at his home that is why he
is lacking behind in reading skills. In this case, showing him videos related to his curriculum
would not only helps him in finding the teaching process attractive but also it leads towards
the understanding of words related to chapters inside the book readers. It works on this belief
that more the students engaged in learning, more they will be able to understand the topics
related to their curriculum (Murphey, 2013). Use of technology in teaching process is
recommended for the proper understanding of the learning outcomes because it makes the
teaching process more eyes capturing and attractive. Boredom within the students can be
removed by the use of videos inside the classroom (Rehm, 2007).
According to the analysis of the case, Gerad is always get bore inside the classroom and
want to go outside. Instead of taking part in teaching process, the boy wants to avoid
attending the classroom practices. In this case, making the teaching process attractive should
be the main priority of the teacher. By making and using videos inside the classroom, make
the teaching process enjoyable. It helps in easily learn the words and their meaning with the
help of suitable video. But the teacher has to maintain a strict control over the message of the
videos. First of all videos should be strictly related to the learning process of the classroom.
No unnecessary information should be provided by the teacher through videos. Nice
presentation with melodious voice should be arranged with the proper presentation of topics
of the curriculum. Overall, use of videos and graphics would improve the words learning
capacity of Gerad (C Owens, 2013).
Resources (3) Shapes of alphabets and cards.
As discussed with this case, the boy Gerad is facing problem in reading and understanding
the words. Teacher should use cards with different words in order to make the teaching
attractive. Teacher can give the students to rearrange the words in correct spelling. The cards

can be used by teachers in presenting the vocabulary and it also helps the students in
rearranging the sentences. It helps the Gerad in differentiating words and leads towards the
improvement in reading comprehensive skills. Presenting the words in a new way, make the
students curious and attentive in the classroom. Decorative and beautiful cards with different
words help the teachers by covering the gap between teachers and students. It helps in
making a conducive and favourable environment of teaching (Allen, 1983).
Different shapes of alphabets should be provided by teacher to Gerad and communicate him
properly about arranging the words in proper spelling. With the help of this activity Gerad
would be able to understand the words and sentences. Although, this procedure takes time
and an effective communication is required by the teacher to give proper instructions to
Gerad. With the help of constant efforts of teacher, Gerad will able to understand and learn
the words in an appropriate manner. Learning with fun helps the teachers in making the
students alert, happy and interested in class room. According to this case, Gerad always go
outside from the class room instead of attending the class. Different and attractive shapes of
words help the Gerad in attending the classroom activities. It will reduce boredom of the class
room. Students will be seeking constant excitement by using different shapes of words.
Overall, it can be said that the use of cards and words of different shapes will help in the
learning process of Gerad and it will helps the teacher in making the students more engaged
and attentive in the class (Rehm, 2007).

According to this case, Kurt who is a ten years old boy, not fulfilling his daily tasks in the
classroom. Because of this habit, he keeps on disturbing the class and his other classmates.
The teacher should engage the boy in poster making related to topics of the curriculum apart
from his classroom work (Michael Hubenthal, 2011).
As discussed with this case, Kurt is beyond his years, it shows that he has extra energy for
doing work but he found the class room work very boring that is why he does not want to do
the work and distract his peers. With the help of poster making by students, teacher ensure

about the interest of the students in learning process. Different crayon colours, water colours,
pencils, erasers and poster colours should be given to Kurt for developing his interest towards
poster making. A very good communication skills and instructions are required by teacher in
order to make the boy understand his task related to poster making. Colourful figures and
attractive colours are liked by students. It makes them excited towards their work and daily
tasks of classroom (Yakup Çetin, 2013).
According to the case, Kurt is a God gifted boy. He has a lot of energy. The teacher has to
adopt strategy of making posters by him to channelize his energies in a correct direction.
Resources (2) Use of Maps, tables, charts, attractive worksheets and globe: According to
the topics of curriculum.
While teaching in the classroom teacher should take the help of maps of world and different
countries. While teaching the subjects related to knowledge of places, areas, culture and
cities, the teacher should use maps and globe. According to this case study, Kurt always get
bored in the classroom and distract other students. The major reason behind his behavior is
that he is not finding the teaching process interesting. By seeing and observing maps and
globe, Kurt will find the teaching process interesting and will definitely try to fulfil his daily
tasks (C Owens, 2013).
While teaching mathematics, teacher should take help of tables, charts and worksheets with
attractive figures of animals, flowers and cartoons. For learning counting and calculations,
teacher should use appropriate worksheets in order to make the teaching process easy,
meaningful and enjoyable. As discussed with this case, Kurt may be proved good at studies,
but in reality he is even not fulfilling his daily tasks of classroom. By using the above stated
resources in a proper manner, teacher can make the Kurt more attentive and engaged in
classroom activities (PA Jennings, 2009).

While teaching science with the topic gardening, teacher should take help of the following
resources and let the students learn about the basic skills for gardening. However, a lot of
care is needed by teacher to take care of students in this process. Teacher should provide
small mud pots to the students and tell them to put soil and seeds in it slowly. Then the

teacher tells the student about watering the soil and observes the method of germinating the

As discussed with this case, Gerad always gets bored in the class and distracts other students.
School is not in a position to adopt latest technology. In this case, teacher may take help of
the above stated resources. These costs very little to the school. Students will not only learn a
lot about gardening skills but also it helps the teachers in maintaining a very interesting and
amazing environment to learn the skills of gardening related to their curriculum (CD
Klemmer, 2005).
No doubt, practical learning is far better than learning with the help of books. Especially with
the practical subjects like science, the book knowledge is not sufficient for the complete
understanding of concepts. Practical exposure is essential for the overall understanding of the
topics related to their curriculum. Fresh branches of flowers can be implemented in soils and
students need to observe the growth took place inside the branches. The boredom of the
classroom is eliminated with the help of these interesting activities. In the above stated
activity, assembling the resources and using them in an efficient manner is a crucial task for
the teacher. Students should be well communicated by teacher regarding the different stages
of activity using different resources (C Owens, 2013).
According to the analysis of the case of Kurt, boredom of the classroom can be removed by
using the above stated resources and by using different activities. With the help of efficiency
of teacher in using these resources, the various problems of the students can be solved up to a
significant stage.
Conclusion
The recommended resources are highly useful in problem solving of the students like Gerad
and Kurt. These resources are helpful in maintaining a favourable environment of learning as
well as it helps the teaching process effective. It makes the students more engaged and
interested in classroom activities. By using these resources in an effective manner, teacher
can improve the learning outcomes in students.
